Tar River Retrievers

When we picked our Boykin spaniel up she was covered in pee and we are not satisfied with the training she had for a month. He was not professional in explaining what he did with her for a month and what she had learned. So we left with no knowledge of what to continue with our training at home.

Great breeders. Easy to work with. Very responsive. Love the English Cocker I got from them. He is smart, sweet and biddable. If I can figure out how to train it, he can do it!

We recently picked up a Field Spaniel from Jeff Tarriver, and he was awesome and extremely professional! Our dog was almost completely potty trained and very affectionate! I highly recommend Jeff for all your Field Spaniel & Labrador Retriever needs! You won’t find a better breeder than him! We were extremely impressed with him!

We got our English Cocker Spaniel from Tar River Retrievers about one year ago and have nothing but positive things to say about our experience with them! Jeff and Lee are wonderful dog breeders and gave us a very healthy and beautiful puppy with a fantastic temperament. They were very professional throughout the process of purchasing and picking up our puppy, and they were very responsive in answering our questions and sending us weekly photos of our puppy since we could not visit due to the pandemic. The pickup process was very smooth and they gave us an organized information packet as well as a toy with her mother’s scent and some food. Our puppy is perfect: She’s sweet, affectionate, and very playful! We highly recommend this breeder!

Jeff and Lee are exceptionally professionals who also raise each litter with great care and love. They are invested in every dog they raise: I know of several instances where they were willing to take a dog back no questions asked. They take customer satisfaction very seriously. More importantly, they care deeply about ensuring that each dog they raise is well cared-for. If you are searching for a reputable, conscientious dog breeder, then Tar River Retrievers is absolutely The BEST!
