Traction Dog Training Club

Rachel did a fantastic job training my American Bully/Pit Bull Terrier. He’s a highly driven and excitable dog, and I didn’t know where to start in training him on my own. He now knows several commands, can walk on leash past other dogs with no reaction, and he listens better than he ever has. I’m very grateful for Rachel’s expertise.

Rachel is a wonderful trainer who clearly has a gift for understanding dogs. She was extremely helpful in training our 5-month-old shy rescue pup. Rachel came 1x/day for training in our home for 4 weeks and at the end our pup was much more confident and my husband and I felt clear on what we needed to focus on in the short term and long term. Our dog went from too scared to go outside, to walking confidently around our neighborhood. Thanks Rachel!

We’ve been working with Eric since our mini dachshund, Frankie, was 3 months old (now 9 months) and have seen such tremendous growth and improvement in his obedience! Eric is calm and patient and a great communicator when working with Frankie, and we see so much progress after every session! Eric is also great at communicating with us so we learn how to train and reinforce good habits — specifically as first time dog parents. Since we started, Frankie now loves his crate and place mat, his leash walk is so much better (were it was non-existent before), and we’re even able let him be out unsupervised in the house without worrying he will get in trouble! Highly recommend Traction Dog Training (and Eric)!

Victoria worked with our older, dog-reactive dog. She worked with us on the fundamentals of loose-leash walking and park-in-place. She created a safe and controlled environment for our dog to practice being neutral around other dogs, particularly larger dogs and animated dogs. We were given homework throughout the week, which was more for us than for our pup. Doing the homework really pays off because we were able to keep up the progress and enabled us to get the most out of our training package. Victoria was able to mix things up from week-to-week, trying out our new skills in different environments. It's been so great to see our dog make good choices, and we are much more confident being our dog's advocate. She listened to our challenges and paid attention to our lifestyle to come up with realistic, achievable goals for our family. We are now comfortable taking our dog for trail walks and hang time at the breweries. I would highly recommend Traction, and Victoria specifically.

Victoria from Traction helped my dog Sunny go from being very reactive and trying to say hi to every person/dog to calm and confident on leash walks! I can’t believe the progress he made in two weeks and am excited to continue working with Victoria and Traction. Seriously the best training experience we’ve ever had, and Victoria is calm and confident, it’s been fun to learn from her! Would’ve never dreamt of taking him to a brewery/restaurant and after two weeks he rocked it! Also enjoyed our outings around Boulder - Traction made training fun!
