Curated Canines Dog Training

We are so thankful for Kylah and the Curated Canine team – they have transformed our relationship with our dog, Burger. From our first meet and greet with Kylah, she understood the needs of Burger and was very excited to work with him. Thanks to their board and train program, our communication with Burger is clearer and more consistent, allowing us to manage his high drive energy and anxieties both inside and outside the house. We have greater confidence in Burger's ability to handle different situations and trust him more. Kylah provided pictures and detailed updates of Burger's progress during the three-week board and train program. Kylah is always available to answer any questions we have and has shown she truly cares about Burger’s progress. We cannot recommend them enough!

Curated Canines changed our relationship with our dog. Our high energy Irish Setter puppy had us in over our heads, he needed a level of exercise we couldn’t achieve due to him being flighty and prey driven. Clover came back from his board and train reliable and responsive. We get to enjoy off leash adventures and his quality of life is amazing. We got detailed update videos on his progress during his stay and the follow up visits helped us feel confident in applying his new skills at home. Kylah made us feel like she really cares for Clover and curating his behaviors to our family needs.

Curated Canines is amazing. My Mona did board and train, and they helped her and I become more confident. Mona has made so much progress. I love that they take care of your dog just as they would their own. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with them for 3weeks as I knew she would always have someone around, and be safe. We have also used them for boarding after her training. She loves it there. Kylah was our main trainer, and she was great. We will continue to board Mona there when needed.

We can’t say enough great things about Curated Canines! To date, our German Shepherd puppy, River, has gone through two board and trains as well as private sessions. Since working with them, we’ve seen vast improvements in all areas. Walks are no longer a battle, recall is on point, his impulse control has come a long way, and his destructive puppy behavior has calmed down dramatically. We live in a floating home and wanted River to eventually learn how to swim and be comfortable around water. Though it wasn’t something we initially asked for during his board and train, Meredith and Kylah went above and beyond by teaching River how to swim! That kind of thoughtful, personalized touch really sets them apart. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dedicated, thoughtful, and results-driven trainer!

06/2025 I want to update this because we got a new puppy and went through puppy training with Curated Canines again. I cannot recommend them enough!!!! Our puppy is fun and cute and just a little mischievous, so curated canines helped us lean into her big personality and teach her skills to keep her safe. After two weeks of boosted and train, she is less reactive with other dogs, walks incredibly well on a leash, and listens to over 5 commands. We will use curated canines for every dog we got! — Best training program in the Portland area! I can’t recommend this place enough. Meredith and Kylah are so good at their jobs. You can tell they eat sleep and breathe dog training. Our little guy went into the board and train program as a pretty anxious dude after surviving a traumatic car accident. He emerged a new dog. He is so confident and sure of himself now and trusts us to guide him. We love the hybrid style of training because we were able to train our pup in environments that he frequents. We can’t thank CC enough and are excited to use them for all dogs we have in the future. I attached photos of him heeling in public, on “place” at home, and not chasing the cat! Worth every penny!!!!
