Elite Paws Training

We had a fantastic experience with Charles at Elite Paws Training and highly recommend him. He worked with our 4-month-old puppy in a two-week board-and-train program, and the results have been incredible. Not only did he do an excellent job training our puppy, but he also took the time to train us as owners so we can confidently continue reinforcing everything at home. His communication and support throughout the process were outstanding—he made himself available for questions and guidance, which made a huge difference. We truly feel set up for long-term success. We’re very grateful for his help and are looking forward to continuing training with him in the future!

We had an incredible experience with Charles at Elite Paws Training. We enrolled our 7-month-old male Goldendoodle in the 2-week board and train program. This is our first dog, and we tried our best to train him on our own but eventually realized we needed help. Our dog would not listen to our commands and we just began to feel overwhelmed. From the start, Charles was calm, confident, and reassuring. He kept in consistent communication with us throughout the entire process, which I felt helped keep us involved and informed of our dog’s progress. Towards the end of the two weeks, he was honest in recommending a few extra days of training. We are so grateful we trusted his judgement because honestly we weren’t feeling ready yet either. The transformation in our dog has been amazing. He came home well-behaved and much more controlled. He was actually listening to our commands. I was most impressed with how much better he does when walking. Charles taught us how to use a new leash and something we really struggled with before was pulling. Now our dog walks right along side us on a loose leash. I love it! We are all in a much better place, and we are so grateful we were connected with Elite Paws. Charles didn’t just train our dog, he also taught us how to continue reinforcing everything at home. He spent 2 hours thoroughly going over everything with us and ensuring we felt confident to continue on with our dog’s training at home. His genuine care for both the dogs and their families really stands out. You can tell he truly wants everyone to succeed. We’re so grateful for Charles and couldn’t recommend him more!

I recently was away for the holidays and did a board and train with my standard poodle puppy while I was gone. She is a very high energy dog with lots of excitement and struggles with being calm around other people/dogs, excitement peeing, holding commands, being mouthy, and leash manners. We had left her in the care of Elite Paws for the week and when we came back the progress she had made was amazing. She is very eager to please and is walking well using a loose leash, she has learned how to “turn off play mode” and does what she’s told immediately. (She can be running with zoomies full speed in the yard and we ask her to come or place and she immediately stops and follows.) Her leash manners are so much better and she is confidently walking on a loose leash without any issues (before pulling used to be a big challenge). She is no longer “breaking commands” and is holding them to upwards of an hour to an hour and a half. “Place” has become her favorite thing now and even when not asked she’ll run over to her cot and wait for us to give her attention for being calm over there. (She used to run circles around us and try and jump on people.). She’s still the same dog with the same high excitement, eager to please personality but she has learned to channel her energy into good behaviors instead of bad habits and to do so with confidence. They had done an amazing job with her in such a short period of time, I could not be more pleased. I also received many updates throughout the week on her progress as well as pictures. The dogs trust them, and they build relationships with them not based off fear but trust and respect. I was also walked through everything at pickup and they made sure that I truly understood how to continue with her training and made sure I didn’t have any questions. I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking any sort of support with training for your dog

I was so worried about sending out pup off to training but Charles did a fantastic job at helping us feel safe and comfortable with leaving him. Our pup is doing so well, he listens, he is not reactive, and he even can sit and wait for long periods of time now! You can really tell Charles loves what he does and cares about his trainees and their families. Thank you so darn much for caring for our baby and helping us.
