Primepaw Dog Training: San Francisco's BEST!

We first learned about Primepaw through the SFSPCA, who recommended them as a great spot, when we adopted Polly through the shelter. After two delightful private sessions in our home with Joanne where she gave us a ton of useful tips and tricks to help with Polly's development and training, we decided to buy the six pack for Puppy Kindergarten. Well worth the investment. Polly was shy around other dogs when we started and has grown so much in her confidence through the masterful training and love of the team at Primepaw. I've appreciated that since she is a such a small dog, they've intentionally made sure she is playing with dogs of her size to keep her confident and safe. She absolutely adores going there, and we appreciate all of the suggestions for additional games at home from Dominic during pick up and drop off. She is just thrilled each time we pull up to Primepaw because she knows she's going to have the best day ever. Thank you, Primepaw team, for helping Polly grow into a confident, joyful, well behaved pup.

We’ve been going to Prime Paw since we brought home our 8-week old ridgeback, Vida. We started with private classes with Dom before Vida was vaccinated, went to puppy socials, and then enrolled in Adolescent Academy. The team at prime paw has been our family through this journey, helping us with all our first-time-puppy owner questions and training Vida. She’s transformed into a confident puppy that I can easily walk in noisy parks and bring to cafes with me. I can’t thank enough Dom, Stephanie, Joanne, Jordyn and the rest of the team for all the love and care they’ve put into Vida’s training… it shows every morning when Vida realizes we’re at Prime Paw and her whole body wiggles with excitement. As a puppy parent, there’s no better feeling than that. Thank you to the team for creating training programs that work, a loving environment, happy dogs, and grateful humans :)

We've been using Primepaw for several years. Nilu has been going to Off-leash adventures since she was around 6 months old. Her recall improved dramatically once she joined. She waits by the door everyone morning and lights up when they arrive. She comes home nicely tired and enriched. She's a cuddle bug, so she's always there to cuddle all her friends and new dogs. We also use them for boarding and our experience has always been amazing. We never worry when we travel, it's like Nilu is going off to camp while we are away.

Prime Paw is the absolute best! This is our first puppy and we have been both excited and anxious about this entire process. Once we found Prime Paw anxiety melted and gave way to a pure joy of raising a puppy. Maddie absolutely LOVES going to school. She gets super excited as soon as we park in front of Prime Paw and then overjoyed when she sees her trainers and of course her classmates! Her days at puppy school are so well structured and filled with playtime but also valuable training lessons. It has been super easy to continue these at home and we noticed how quickly she picks up lessons at home. She is absolutely thriving and Prime Paw plays a huge role in this. We love our Instagram updates during the day while she is in school and report cards at the end of the day are super helpful and adorable!!! All trainers are so nice and offer helpful training tips/lessons every day. If you are getting a puppy, Prime Paw school is a must! We are excited to continue Maddie’s lessons at Prime Paw with their kindergarten and eventually puppy academy program.

I adopted Chocolate at the end of November 2022 from the SPCA when he was 12 weeks old. The following week, I started him at Prime Paw puppy school and, within a very short time, he was sitting, lying down, settling beautifully, walking on a leash, playing well with other puppies and generally becoming the well-rounded puppy he has turned out to be. As a consequence of how well he was doing, I then signed him up for the Adolescent Academy where he continued his education and now, at six months, is so voluntarily well-behaved, he is a joy to have around. The Prime Paw staff are wonderful and so patient and kind. I love the way they treated Chocolate and all the puppies using positive reinforcement techniques. I can't say enough good things about the way they helped me have a good relationship with Chocolate, too, in their Sunday group class, where they teach owners how to have good engagement with their puppies. The investment was so worth the return, I highly recommend Prime Paw Puppy School, the Adolescent Academy and all of their offerings.
