Stanfur'd k9 - Dog Training

I recently completed a six-week board and train program with StanFÜR’D k9 (George) for my dog Roxy, a 2 year old bernadoodle, who struggles with anxiety and reactivity around other dogs. The experience, and results have been outstanding. From the start, George showed incredible patience, understanding of canine behaviors, and skills needed to help a sensitive dog. Throughout the program, I received consistent feedback; voice messages, videos, and training tips that applied to our dog. and our close interactions together. George was clear about explaining the steps and progression that would help our dog stay calm and relaxed during our outings, as well as, back at home. By the end of the six weeks, my dog returned home calmer, more focused, and much better at handling triggers. George also provided me with detailed instructions and strategies to continue reinforcing the progress at home, which has made a huge difference in our daily life. I’m so grateful for the compassionate, and professional care my dog received, and highly recommend StanFÜR’D k9 for anyone with an anxious or reactive dog.

We adopted our chihuahua mix a year ago and were having issues with her reactivity and housetraining. We finally decided to have her board and train with Jorge after we had a couple in-house trainings with him. Jorge knows animals and humans. He's knowledgable and patient and is very honest and direct about what you can expect from training. Much of the training centers around what humans allow their dogs to do. So he helped us understand how to be more assertive and regimented with our dog, and that we as owners are part of the problem. Once you understand that, you'll be able to understand the dog training. Jorge's way of communication is texts, voicenotes and his facebook group where he posts videos and training tips. So you have to be organized yourself in order to incorporate all the training information (it's not in a personalized report for you/your dog). We learned a lot from Jorge and are still working on incorporating all of the tips he provided.

We are first time dog owners and knew we would need help with our young puppy. Our breeder highly recommended Jorge, so we sent our 13 week old puppy to him for 4 weeks of Puppy Board and Train School. She came home much calmer and better behaved, but still had challenges with resisting naps and bedtime. Jorge was patient and super helpful, always responding to our numerous questions and concerns and providing suggestions, solutions, and hands on training. Our puppy is excited to spend more time with him the next time we go out of town. Thanks Jorge!

I sent my dog Matty to Jorge for a 6-week board and train in August, and the results have been incredible. Matty is so much better on walks, greets people without jumping, and has noticeably better impulse control overall. What really stood out about Jorge is how intuitive he is with both dogs and humans. He quickly picked up on Matty’s quirks and even noticed how my dog-mom anxiety was affecting Matty’s behavior, then tailored the training to fit our needs. He’s also really funny, easy to work with, and provided genuinely helpful resources and hands-on sessions so I felt confident continuing the training at home. I was so happy with the experience that I sent Matty back again over Christmas, and the added grooming this time was a great bonus. I’m really grateful for everything Jorge has done for Matty, and I wouldn’t hesitate to work with him again.

We are first time dog owners and we went from 0 pups to 2 pups all at once! I’m not sure we would still be dog parents if it wasn’t for George! He is truly the dog whisperer! Or pups spent 2 weeks with him and during their stay he sent videos and tips to help us to be successful dog parents! After they returned no one believed they were puppies because they behave so well and are so calm and chill! No bathroom accidents and they truly follow instructions like we have been doing this for years! Cookie and Raven are such amazing additions to our family and I owe 90% of that to George! He is forever trusted with our pups!
