(from Google)My dream dog from being a small child was a black German shepherd so when I lost my previous shepherd I had mixed emotions on getting another one, from the time I contacted Angie up to this day she has been nothing but understanding, professional and educational. Not only did I get my dream dog she’s completely amazing. Great temperament, intelligent, confident, brave, goofy, gentle with my kids and so much more! I could go on and on about how happy I am that I chose Camelot. My puppy came pretty much house trained. These pups had the best start to their lives. She’s so easy to train and is very willing to obedience. When the time is right for me to add another pup to our family I won’t even consider looking elsewhere!
We brought home a female from Grit/Creed on 01/17/26. At 3 months she was 26#. I can rub a rock in my hands and throw it into 12” of slow moving water and “Gretchen” Will fetch it from the creek. Not sure how she identifies it from the other rocks under water. I’ve never seen that before, even after 40 years as a LEO. Her primary focus is to keep me in view. I’m loving that. She is a joy to me, she’s a handful for my wife though. House broke, gate trained to wait, progressing on basic obedience training and socializing. She good around farm birds and critters, obsessed with the barn cats, but improving, like a puppy. A couple of nights ago she sat alone in the driveway and just scanned the farm and the tree line, like a real German Shepherd! Thanks for being such a conscientious breeder.
If you're looking for a working line German Shepherd, you need to talk / visit with Angie at Camelot German Shepherds. Angie is a breeder who obviously cares about improving the breed and has the history and experience to produce quality dogs. These are dogs that you know are being bred so that their genetics, temperament, drive, and health are all being considered in order to produce the best possible dog. My female dog Chloe is now 2 years old, and it's amazing how many compliments people have made about her during the last 2 years. Not only is she a beautiful dog, but she has a wonderful personality that is full of energy and drive, yet she also can be totally chill and turn off when needed. That's exactly the balance I was looking for when I was looking for a working line German shepherd as a family dog for me.
I picked up my puppy from Angie at the end of October. This would be my fourth GSD. This was my first experience with Camelot/Angie and it was also the best experience from any breeder before. Finding Camelot was by accident when my previous breeder fell through and I needed a puppy to heal my broken heart from the loss of my 13 1/2 soul mate. I know that’s not the best way to get a puppy. I got very lucky! Angie’s routine of meeting the parents and puppies and going over everything someone should know is exceptional. I have the greatest little pup I could ask for ( not so little at 4 1/2 months) I could keep on talking about him but I’ll just say Thanks Angie!
We have a pup from Angie and he is amazing. Housebroken in a couple of days, friendly with other dogs and people. He is 10 months now and just starting to learn nosework and in the spring will continue to work on dock diving. Both parents excel at each of those sports. I love that Angie spends time titling and working her dogs in both nosework and dock diving. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Watch out world - X is ready to play!
