St. Constantine & Hellen veterinary center

Last month my girl Shugie was acting a little unusual in her eating habits. She was still eating, but not the way she usually does so I wanted to take her to get seen. I tried Barstow, Hesperia, and Victorville shelters until I tried St Constantine (I’d never heard of it until Google.) I was already stressed from being dismissed so many times but the moment Dr. Elena answered, I became calm and felt so heard. She saw us less than 2 hours after our call and it turns out Shugie was SO constipated. She had an overnight stay for an enema and testing to rule any other factors out. I cannot describe the peace of mind I got out of this visit. I am so grateful for this veterinary practice. I was NOT charged outrageous prices to save my girl, which happened during the loss of one of my other cats at another high desert vet. Thank you Dr Elena for your wonderful heart and your amazing knowledge and passion to service for our vulnerable companions.

Thank goodness the first place I had called only had appointments in the afternoon. And I decided to keep looking because were able to bring in my 10yr old dog right away. We drove an hour and 20 minutes (one way) and it was all worth it. Dr. Elena saved my dog's life, she took her into surgery and cared for her like if my dog was one of her own. Since we were so far away, she was very understanding and communicative throughout the procedure. We are forever grateful, bless her soul ❤️ She is by far the best Veterinarian out there 💯 Thank you!

My Baby had Parvo I love Dr. Elena! From the moment I spoke to her she had me at “hello”! She took care of my baby Bluey who was sick with an extremely aggressive parvo virus strain (my puppy is almost 8 months old and still got the virus with 3 vaccinations). I was so scared of losing my baby and Dr. Elena stayed in contact with me and nursed my baby back to health herself. She was reasonably priced and didn’t try to increase unnecessary fees like other vets do. Once Bluey started eating again, she even fed her like a princess. I absolutely trust her with my fur babies and considering her such a Blessing to me and my family. I have a picture of my Bluey sick the day I dropped her off to Elena, and I have a picture of the day I brought her home. Such a difference!

Dr. Elena is a phenomenal vet. I called wondering about walk ins for a check up exam and she answered the call directly herself and immediately got us in to see her about an hour later. My little Salem was so relaxed and calm she even fell asleep on the exam table. Dr. Elena was super compassionate and caring with Salem. You can just tell she genuinely loves animals and cares about not only pets, but their owners too! She’s also really affordable and doesn’t try to up charge you for services that aren’t necessary. I will definitely be continuing Salem’s care with Dr. Elena. She’s a rare gem in veterinary care in the high desert! :) Highly recommend, she makes visiting the vet’s office an absolute breeze and a stress free experience!

I don’t even have the words for how grateful we are for Dr. Elena. We brought Rocky in after hours when no one else would see us—he’s a 110-pound big boy, not easy to handle, and he was in shock, bleeding profusely, and completely critical. Without help, he would not have made it another few hours. Dr. Elena jumped in with aggressive treatment and constant monitoring and literally saved his life. She stayed on-site for 48 hours straight—didn’t leave the clinic—watching him, running all the tests he needed, and keeping him comfortable. Nothing about this was easy or pretty. She was not grossed out by the bloody diarrhea or the mess; she cleaned him up and even gave him a private room so he could relax and recover in peace. She handled our huge, hard-to-train dog with total calm and kindness. On top of all that, we couldn’t afford the full cost right then. Dr. Elena helped us apply for financing on the spot, and we were approved. She also charged a fair price—honestly, I don’t think anyone else would have done this level of care for what she charged. It was clear this wasn’t about money for her; it was about saving Rocky. If you need a vet who goes way above and beyond, who will treat your pet like family, answer after hours, give true 24-hour care, and do everything possible to help you and your animal, Dr. Elena is the one.
