Been taking my dogs and grandmother's cats to him for probably close to 30yrs. Before he had his own location. Great doctor. Actually cares about the animals.

Very unprofessional and unethical business 1. We waited about 1.5 hr to be seen having an appointment. Nobody told us upfront when signing in of upcoming waiting times. There were no updates at all and I had to ask 2 times for follow ups till one staff member mentioned to me there was only 1 doctor. Please, be respectful of your costumers time. 2. Justification for office visit charge ( $160 charge/ 2 minute max of service) Reason to take my cat was to receive an asthma shot. I told this the lady in front. I told the technician and also the doctor. The technician and doctor just told me ok. The lady in front mentioned that most likely will be the case, but it could vary based upon doctor discretion. Doctor just saw my cat for top 20 seconds and went right ahead to apply the asthma shoot. There was not instruments at all to check her such as stethoscope, thermometers, Otoscopes, penlights, etc. When i checked out charges included exams and office check. I told the lady in front about it and she changed her initial narrative- she said the doctor had checked my cat and the only way not to charge the office visit was to come every month- this really feels like money scam. I feel robbed. I really don’t understand how are they justifying $160 dollars/ 2 minutes of visit. 3. No clarity of treatment notes, record or documentation . Very old fashion way to keep track of documents. It is unreliable and not readable.

We started bringing Alonso here after having an epically terrible experience at the vet 30 blocks north. This place has its own parking garage along Broadway, in which you enter the office directly. It feels a bit cramped in the waiting room, which is shared space, somewhat, with the room they always bring us into when the pup has needed shots, nail clippings, or whatever. Everyone has been friendly and easy to interact with.

I have Had 2 dogs Shih tzo a shih poo. As of 2018 I loss my ShihTzo.13 yrs old I still have my Shih Poo Kazi V. who is now 11 yrs old. I only go to see Paul or Kris Mammas. I love the staff Dorothy, & others and the Vets I appreciate the service and care. Most of all the empathy, kindness and love for all pets, they went beyond my expectation.i had to put Kookie to sleep unexpected. They never rush me out I was a wreck. They were so concern they call my brother who also takes his dogs and cats and many cat because of his love for the cats in Bayonne without a home. I thank them all. I would recommend there services to friends and family. 🙏🏽♥️♥️

I have been to the office several times now and each time has been a good experience. From when I walked in, to being placed in a room and on my way out everyone was professional and as I would expect, pleasant and compassionate. My cat is elderly and I want him to be comfortable... I was relieved and happy they were interested in the same and weren't trying to sell me on testing and bloodwork on my seventeen year old cat.
