This clinic made a mistake that could have killed our cat, and refused to accept responsibility. If you were looking for a good clinic, I would recommend looking elsewhere. We were given a concentrated medication that was supposed to be mixed with water. The clinic mixed and dispensed it to us, with instructions to give it for a full week. About halfway through the course, we unexpectedly ran out — because it had not been diluted with the correct amount of water. That meant we had been giving our cat a much more concentrated dose than intended. When we contacted the clinic to fix what was clearly their dispensing/mixing mistake, they told us we’d need to pay for the replacement bottle. I asked to speak with management or a veterinarian and was refused/stonewalled. The receptionist was stuck handling constant calls while also trying to deal with this, and I spent roughly 40 minutes in the clinic trying to get a clear answer from a vet. Eventually I agreed to pay ~80% of the cost (mainly because I felt bad putting the receptionist in the middle). But regardless I feel any decent clinic would’ve owned up to the mistake and ate the cost. Thankfully, we were told these doses weren’t dangerous in this case — but a mistake like this could be dangerous with many other medications. The most upsetting part wasn’t the error itself (mistakes happen), it was the refusal to take ownership and make it right. I can’t recommend this clinic based on how they handled a serious medication issue. If you go here, I strongly suggest double-checking any compounded/mixed medications and asking for clear documentation of concentration and total volume dispensed.

The vets at this place are absolutely amazing!! They are soo kind and helpful as well as knowledgeable! They take extra time with my dogs and make them comfortable and safe. I love the staff as well. I will continue to come here for all my pet needs!

We love Maynard Animal Hospital! They are all animal loving and dedicated professionals. Their hours are great and they will be flexible in working with you past closing time if needed. They truly love what they do and provide the best possible care. I’ve moved further away, but we keep this location as our primary and drive farther to receive the best possible care. They also have lots of treats for the pups

The doctor took the time to explain everything clearly, answer all of my questions, and made sure my pet felt safe and comfortable. It’s clear they truly love what they do. The office is clean, organized, and runs smoothly, and the level of compassion and professionalism is unmatched. I left feeling reassured and confident that my pet was in the very best hands. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for top-notch care for their furry family members!
