I really appreciated the reassurance that Dr. Caginalp provided in re-assessing the status and size of Charleston's rectal tumor while also addressing his problems with stooling by providing a probiotic. She also took note that he was due for his distemper shot. As to her interaction with Charleston, especially because he is deaf and blind and thus less responsive to others than most dogs, he might seemingly be disconnected or unrelated. Yet Dr. Caginalp treats him as warmly as a dog who'd be wagging his tail and looking happily at her. Can't tell you how much that means to me, because Charleston is truly a very sweet pup of 16+ years. As for contacting the office, I always get the best folks to help with my needs yet I especially enjoy getting MJ on the phone; she's astute, communicates well and is always patient and kind. I also enjoy the vet techs who greet us. Most of all, I am one of many who I know have Dr. Caginalp taking care of their dogs. After 4 decades plus of vets caring for my dogs, she’s numero uno! I am one of many who adore, respect and am tremendously grateful to have Dr. Caginalp as our veterinarian. Her skills and expertise are outstanding yet her interpersonal skills are beyond measure; a truly wonderful person who has a skill that is hard to describe but is definitely something that makes me feel all the better for the experience! In ending, I always feel like everyone there truly cares about my dogs and me nearly as much as I do and there is something that occurs that makes me feel like they're truly connected and empathic with my pups.

The care the doctor showed for my almost 15 year old dog was unmatched. She remembers everything from each of our past visits, and not only did she show so much empathy towards me, but she treated my best friend with dignity and respect.

The care we received was excellent, my dog was very sick and they fit him in that day. They gave him great care. Victoria Caginalp is the best, she makes you feel like she has a special relationship with your dog even though she only sees him once or twice a year. I love her. They are all very sweet with my anxious dog.

Everyone from Maddie at the front desk, to the vet tech and Dr.Brienza are so friendly and patient and answer all my questions and explain the meds and dosage. Maddie at the front desk is kind and patient in person and on the phone. Dr.Brienza never rushes you and is very patient and takes her time and is so good with my dogs. She explains everything she is going to do to Ruby when she takes her in the back.

We have been going to Essex Vet for about twenty years. We have had nothing but great service from all staff members concerning our two dogs and three cats over that time. Most of our visits (95%) have been with Dr. Cheryl Brienza. Her care, compassion, and understanding of how we want our pets treated match our own. She explains everything thoroughly and respects our decisions. We feel very fortunate to have her here in our area.
