(from Google)I’ve been taking my cattle dog in to see Dr Poquette for maintenance adjustments. The last visit, she charted the wrong leg. My dog had an injury the day before her maintenance adjustment (she would hop on her right leg on occasion). That morning she woke up unable to bear wright on her back left leg. Dr. P spent that time as a “new evaluation” -checking on potential ligament tears etc. making a diagnose of potential arthritis with a Rx for anti inflammatories and Dasequin. When I turned the claim into my insurance- I found out she had charted Right leg. After writing her a letter and speaking with the office manager to amend the notes- thete was no change. She even wrote me that I was trying to attempt insurance fraud. I realize that maintenance adjustments weren’t covered because of a “pre existing condition “- that she wrote as lameness to the right leg - but never with an official diagnose . I’m okay with that- although she went in for a total spine adjustment. However- I’m not Okay with blatant mistake of charting the wrong leg . As a former practitioner - I’ve never charted the wrong extremity. Unfortunately the examination Board somehow sided with her. So I’m having to get letters of witnesses to send. All has been so frustrating, time consuming . All becaaue she won’t amend a mistake she made. When I asked to speak with the Vet tech who was in the room- they said he moved out of the country. Yet the examination board said they went off of “witnesses”. I’m thoroughly confused . I’m not only not being reimbursed by my insurance because of this mistake but this could impact future claims. I currently go to the Ark vet clinic and have experienced far more professional, competent staff and vets. Class A in every way! I highly recommend.
They were working with me with my dog. They very kind, gentle people. Their understanding with the situation I was going through with my dog and they really help me out a lot. I highly recommend Wilakenzie Animal Clinic to everyone. They do a great job. I still owe them money and they have it nagged me at all about it. I feel it because of the situation with my animal. Thank you Willakenzie Animal Clinic I appreciate you and I will make it right I promise.
Dr, Poquette was attentive and personable. She was thorough in her exam of my dog and I felt that my concerns were addressed appropriately. The vet tech was also extremely nice and positive. A good experience!
They show great care but the services are the highest priced around. They always have open appointments which helps when you have a sick pet, but the costs are over the top with no sliding fee scale or discounts available. I had an estimate for $1400+ for a spay and a mass removal on a small dog.And the visit that day was over $300 to tell me that.$100 for the exam and bloodwork. I found the same services for less than half. The staff is friendly and all that, but it’s disappointing to witness the lack of financial empathy with taking care of our pets, especially in these tough economic times. I guess this is the pet clinic for the privileged. Shop around if you can.
Soon after I adopted Jesse, a senior cat, I looked for a veterinarian to carry out his initial exams and continued care. For many years, my previous cats were treated by another clinic in Eugene. I thought it was time for a change. Looking for a new vet is risky. Expertise is certainly essential, but the effective relationship a pet has with staff must be experienced in person. With Willakenzie Animal Clinic, I fortunately found the perfect clinic. Jesse made two visits to undertake exams, tests, and vaccinations. The veterinarian (Dr. Kairis) and assistant were knowledgeable and empathetic. Their attention to procedure included building a good relationship. Jesse’s initial anxiety was quickly calmed. Much appreciated is the personal follow-up I received about his results. I highly recommend this veterinary practice. As I cat owner for 40 years, I feel confident that Jesse will continue to be in good care.
