(from Google)Would not go anywhere else! The doctors at the After Hours Clinic have treated hundreds of our animals for the Animal Rescue and Foster program. They have pulled dogs and cats through emergencies for us as well as simple things. They know us and know what we would want to do in most cases. I know that when I go on vacation, I can trust them to do what is needed if there is an emergency. This picture is of Mia who Dr. Samoska just did major surgery on. She is the product of a puppy mill breeder and had a tumor weighing over 1 pound in her mammary area.
I had an emergency during the work week after my dog ingested rat poison and wasn’t able to get into my family vet. I called after hours in a panic and was told that they didn’t have any appointments available for the remainder of the day as they also operate as a daytime/vaccine clinic but they are 24/7 365 emergency walk ins. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the receptionists, Aaliyah and Caroline, who despite juggling a lot of things at once, were very warm and welcoming and helped me in my time of panic. I was shortly taken after taken into a room to speak with the technician about my dog and get approval for diagnostics. The wait overall was a bit long, but it seemed that there multiple other critical things going on at the same time. I was eventually pulled into a room by Dr. Samoka, and was told my pet would need to be hospitalized for monitoring, he answered all of my questions and at no moment made me feel dumb/rushed. The technician, Delina, was so kind and eased my nerves almost instantly. She very thorough about my estimate and explained that the amount of time my pet would be here varies per animal and how they respond to treatment but that I could call throughout the day to get updates until he was ready to go home. Dr. Hall took over his case the last 2 days he was in the hospital and there was no better feeling than feeling like my pet was her only focus despite being told that their intensive care unit was completely full. My dog is usually extremely afraid of the vet and at pick up time it seemed to me like he didn’t want to leave due to all of the loving he was getting during his stay. No pet parent anticipates having an emergency and in all transparency did not have the finances but was able to quickly apply to something they use called “care credit” which is a credit card that can be used for vet bills and paid off over time. Apollo is now back to his normal self and I couldn’t have done it without the amazing staff here. I will be switching all of my pets over to your facility, thank you after hours!
I can’t say enough great things about this veterinary hospital. We’ve been using them for nearly four years after switching vets multiple times trying to find the perfect fit, and this one truly stood out above the rest. The staff is fantastic and always willing to help, no matter the circumstance. Thanks to their care, our German Shepherd, Dallas, no longer scratches or itches. They helped us find the perfect food and supplements and keep a close eye on his weight, especially since so many shepherds struggle with hip problems. Recently, while we were out of town, the pet resort called with an issue. Jessica Baker, the practice manager, was the first to step in and take care of Dallas. Even while we were away, she made sure he was well taken care of. Our second baby was our Great Dane mix, Denver. When we lost him, we were given compassionate guidance and options. When it was time to say goodbye, no one had better bedside manner than Dr. Hall. She sat on the floor with us while we told our beloved Denver goodbye. She never rushed us and made us feel 100% certain we were making the right decision. You can find veterinarians who are knowledgeable, but finding ones who truly care and have such wonderful bedside manner is rare. We will continue to use this vet as long as we have animals.
At New Years 1am, my dog accidently injested 2 grapes. Every vet we called was booked and would not be able to see us. We found this vet that said they could see her. The receptionist was friendly and took her right back. The doctor came and explained what had been done and the pricing and further options. We were home by 230am. I felt pricing was reasonable for an emergency holiday visit! Thank you for saving our baby!
Tonight I brought my sweet Vinnie in for a possible urinary blockage. Vincent was triaged immediately upon arrival. I was kept informed and updated after he was deemed stable and as the veterinary team worked through their many other triages of the night. My wishes for the use of injectable sedation for restraint over other means were respected without question when my boy got up to his normal antics. The doctor actually suggested it over manhandling him, which I very much appreciate. Dr. Marco was very sweet and knowledgeable when she met with me to discuss Vinnie’s treatment plan before a tech/assistant went over his oral medications. The team here is efficient, courteous, and caring. Everyone works very hard while remaining calm and getting people and their pets cared for in a timely manner. I highly recommend this hospital for your pets’ emergency needs. 💛 Thank you guys sooo much! 💛 (Pic of my special little guy; an old one because he’s high as a kite right now!)
