Mt. Hood Pet Medical

The team at Mt. Hood Pet Medical is fantastic; it’s always clear how much they truly care about their patients. Our dog, Bailey, has never had a bad experience there—in fact, I just asked her, and she gave them a resounding 'two paws up!' 🐾 ​A huge shoutout to Dr. Tompkins, who was absolutely wonderful with Bailey. She was incredibly caring and took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns without making me feel rushed. ​What I appreciate most about this clinic is their approach to care. I've been to other places where you're handed recommendations and left feeling guilty if you don't opt in. Not here. Dr. Tompkins and the staff present your choices, explain the reasoning behind them, and leave the decision entirely up to you. I really value that honesty and respect. They 100% have my stamp of approval!

I have been coming to Mt Hood Pet Medical for a very long time. I now have my third puppy that they are caring for. They are always amazing, always caring, always transparent. They patiently put up with my many questions and concerns. They always share great information. They always get me in for appts timely. I don’t wait long for appts or when I am in the room waiting to be seen. The vets, techs, and front desk staff are the best! They are all kind, understanding, supportive, caring, compassionate and kind. I do not live close to this vet, however, I don’t mind the drive when I get such great care. I have looked in my area but have not been happy with other vet clinics that I have visited. The prices are probably comparable to other vets. There may be less expensive clinics and surely there are more expensive clinics. Unfortunately vet care, like everything else, is expensive but having great, dependable care for my fur babies is very important. Another awesome thing about Mt Hood Pet Medical is they offer wellness plans. No matter the age or animal (dogs and cats) (puppies, kittens or adults) there is a plan that covers a lot of things like vaccines, exams, dental, spaying/neutering, etc, for a monthly cost. I always have one because it helps offset costs and it can ease the big out-of-pocket costs.

I don't recommend this vet because they were overcharge you and under care for your pet. My dog is in need of antibiotics but they failed to prescribe any. I would rather drive the extra 20 minutes to see a vet that will actually care for my dogs fully and aren't afraid to examine them in front of me! Waste of $450 my dog still needs care! Reply to Jess who just speaks of lies and more lies saying she tried to address concerns! Saying that we worked quite a bit no she was trying to get me to talk to her on the phone so that nothing was on the record about their liability. She couldn't even read the email and see that the e-mail staff even stated that the treatment is antibiotics and diet change however they refused to give antibiotics. Don't waste your money. Don't go to a place where you can't trust the staff. Also, the place is really dirty and just smells like urine

My 2 year old male cat suffers from bladder issues. I called as a new patient on Monday and was able to get an appointment the next day. Dr. Ferguson was AMAZING!! I was unable to be there so my husband had me on speaker phone. Dr. Ferguson was super accommodating and answered all of our questions. My husband loved the vibe in the office and felt like the staff truly cared. We will be switching our other furbabies to Mt. Hood as well.

Our older tuxedo cat was not doing well and the staff were able to get us in same day. Dr. Z is beyond wonderful. Truly cares and so wonderful with our cat. The assistant was wonderful too. Dr. Z is clear, concise and so comforting and compassionate dealing with tough news. I truly appreciate how good everyone has been to Catman every time we need to go in. I highly recommend this office. They are there for you just as much as your pet family member. You'll be in good hands.
