(from Google)Dr. Rita Gritzmacher and the staff at CVEC were absolutely wonderful when treating my cat for a bite wound. From the moment we arrived, everyone was kind, attentive, and clearly cared about my pet’s comfort and recovery. Dr. Gritzmacher took the time to thoroughly examine my cat, explain the treatment plan, and answer all of my questions, which really helped put me at ease during a stressful situation. The entire CVEC team was professional, compassionate, and efficient. They handled my cat gently and made sure he received the care he needed quickly. I’m very grateful for the excellent treatment and support we received. I highly recommend Dr. Rita Gritzmacher and the CVEC staff to anyone needing quality emergency veterinary care for their pets.
This clinic was absolutely amazing and a life saver for me Sunday Night. My dogs had gotten out while I was out and it was super windy, cold and rainy. I was fortunately able to find one of my dogs and I was grateful we had an overnight emergency vet clinic in town. Unfortunately we had found my other dog struck by a car off Henderson. They were very compassionate and attentive workers there. The Vet I saw that night now morning was very attentive to my dogs needs and transparent on cost breakdowns. I was originally planning on a at home burial for my dog that passed away but they had offered cremation at a very reasonable price which saved my time and back. I highly recommend this clinic and would come back to them for any of my emergency pet needs.
I took my dog Bruce to Coastal Veterinary Emergency Clinic on Christmas Eve because he was unsteady and his eyes were flickering side to side constantly. I feared he was having a stroke. Bruce is a feisty but slowing-down 13-year-old beagle–rat terrier mix. He was diagnosed with idiopathic vestibular syndrome and is thankfully doing fine now. Like many people with pets, Bruce is the love of my life. From the moment we arrived until we left, the entire team was wonderful. They recognized the distress of both the animal and the human who brought him in. A belated but heartfelt thank you to Irene, Maia, Jesse, and Dr. Griezmacher. (Maia- he is still spicy" 😆
My dog was diagnosed with HGE last Saturday. She wound up staying overnight so due to a shift change was taken care of by Dr. Calo during the day and Dr. Sanchez throughout the night. Both doctors were incredible and very informative/helpful! Due to my dog's case, she was inevitably given a bunch of meds for her recovery process at home. Her discharge instructions did not align with the quantity of medication that was given to us. For example, her discharge instructions stated that we were to give our dog a tablet every 8 hours for 5 days. Which would result in a quantity of 15, however we only came home with 8. There was also confusion with a probiotic syringe that instructed me to give my dog 4mL every 8 hours for 2-3 days. We arrived home with the syringe at 14mL out of 30mL already administered. I completely understand that mistakes happen, so I called the office to clarify and explain the situation on Monday night. The tech that I spoke with on the phone was very kind. She told me that I should come pick up the rest of the tablets because it helps coat her stomach since she was also given a 7 day course of antibiotics as well as the probiotic. I arrived at the office this afternoon to pick up the rest of the medication and to clarify the miscommunication. 3 women were behind the front desk at the time, 2 of them were very kind to me. One older woman with dark hair and glasses became increasingly rude to me and I unfortunately heard her tell other techs in the back "I don't know what shes talking about" in a rude manner while describing my situation which upset me, as well as my husband due to the way I was being spoken about. I was able to hear this comment because the staff was searching for my pets chart that was misplaced for no less tha 20 minutes. The staff members were pointing fingers and blaming other staff members that were not on shift at the time by name, at some points even using foul language not directed at me, but due to the situation and frustration of other staff members. This encounter seemed incredibly unprofessional for a multitude of reasons. Once things were finally in order, I had the pleasure of speaking to Amanda, who also helped me on the phone the night before. She was able to explain the mix up and give me new instructions to care for my pet. Overall, the doctors were great and Amanda is such a sweet person. I am beyond grateful that they were able to save my girl. However, I did experience unprofessionalism and discomfort when all I was trying to do was abide by the best course of action for my dog as this was our first serious health issue with a pet
Incredibly patient, compassionate staff- we brought our lab mix in on Saturday due to some erratic behavior & lack of interest in food/water. we were brought back into a private room and they took his vitals immediately. Dr. Kim suggested labs be ran, so we did just that and they showed our captain so much love & kindness despite him being mentally out of it. We were then referred to a specialist who he was seen by on Sunday, but unfortunately couldn’t be helped past supportive care and keeping him comfortable. Unfortunately, we had to bring him back in last night and put him to sleep. Everyone was so quick to help and gave us as much time as we needed before and after the process to be with him the last time. The techs loved on our boy like their own and ensured we were also okay considering the circumstances. Everyone in the clinic including the receptionist made something so difficult that much easier, I’ll never forget how much love they showed our Captain through this, and I recommend bringing your animals to be checked out and seen if an emergency situation arrives. Wait times can be tough, but I promise they work as quick as they can while also providing genuine love to your fur babies. Thank you to Isabel, Dr. Kim, Eileen, and one tech I didn’t catch her name but she was incredibly kind. You guys made a huge positive impact during an extremely stressful and heartbreaking time. I hope you guys get to see our sweet Captains picture before he was sick, hims was the goodest boy, thank you forever & always.
