(from Google)My sweet Willow got her femur fixed. From walking in for service through a thorough exit review and plan. Wonderful experience. Thank you
I have been to this urgent/emergency clinic twice, with two different pups and months apart. Dr Mays is wonderful and explained everything in great detail. She also offered options that were necessary but also others from a cost perspective. This clinic is wonderfully nice and compassionate for our companions and both times I’ve visited have been nothing but top notch. I would recommend them to anyone in need of urgent/emergency care.
Our Cat ate a 12”x1/4” piece of soft plastic. Our regular Vet could not fit him in and suggested we take him to Sequoyah Urgent Care Vet on Homberg Drive in Knoxville. Dr. Lively and Vet Tech Justice were FANTASTIC!!! They got the plastic out and had us on our way within 20 minutes! Thank you Dr. Lively! Thank you Justice! Bob and Debi Kolasa
This was by far the worst and strangest emergency vet I've ever been to. The doctor is a blonde lady, and she's very weird and pushy, trying to guilt you into doing stuff right then when it's not a life-threatening emergency and you can't afford $700 to stitch a lip. You say you're going to take him to your vet in two days because your vet will work with you. She insisted it couldn't wait two days or until we found some where affordable it had to be "right now." She talked to me and my mother like we were complete idiots. Her first sentence was, "Does he take heartworm medicine? He needs some and a test for it." He had already been tested at his doctor and was fine. She told my mom he had dental disease when his vet said his teeth were great for his age (he's 10). She was rude when I asked to see the estimate for surgery so I could see what all they wanted to do for $700, talking about how he had to have IVs and be heavily sedated for a lip. She basically told me, "What's the point of her taking time to print it out if I'm not going to do it?!" She gave us an unsealed bottle of amoxicillin, which looks like they took half of it out beforehand. It's supposed to last 10 days, but after one dose, the bottle is half gone. I also had to pay $44 for that bottle. They gave him gabapentin for pain...? She told us she couldn't give anything else because we would have to pay to check his liver and heart! My vet has given my dog pain meds and antibiotics before for a lot less money and without doing expensive tests. Then they even tracked me down outside to ask if I wanted to give him a shot for $28 before I left. Mind you, the dog was acting fine, was eating before he went, didn't seem phased by it at all, and we gave him his meds when he got home. They were still trying to push it on us after I clearly said no and were trying to guilt me into it, saying he's definitely in pain. They took him to a separate room to "wipe his lip" but didn't do it. This place is a scam. Also, the doctor will talk nicely to your animal until you refuse to do overly expensive treatments, then they get ignored. This is all for show. She doesn't care, and to be honest, she seems like she's on something: wide-eyed, obsessively fast-talking, rude, and doesn't want to take no for an answer. She also told me a regular vet would only charge $400-$500, and they wanted $700. I understand them being open on weekends means they can charge more (which in itself is a rip-off), but $300 more? I know my vet will not charge me even half of that to stitch a lip. I only gave 1 star to leave a review. These people need to be out of business. Also, out of 4 employees and no other customers there, nobody was up front at the desk the entire time, they were all in the back talking and laughing loudly. Please take your animals anywhere else. I barely leave bad reviews (you can see all my reviews on my profile), but this place was just a straight rip-off, and my mom's dog did not like that doctor at all. He didn't even want her to touch him, and he loves everybody. The whole thing was very strange. I'm calling to speak with the owner about a refund, or I might even call the news; this place needs investigating. I paid $211 for that horrible visit. I wish I could report them because the whole situation was uncomfortable and weird. These people only want to use your animal for money. I'm sure they seem "nice" to the people willing to believe them and pay unnecessarily high prices, or who don't have a choice. They were pretending to be nice until I saw through their act. They were trying to make a large profit to make up for them kot having alot of people come in last night. The only plus is that the one brown-haired lady was nice. P.S. It did look worse last night, but not enough to cost $700.
I thank God for guiding me and choosing this place for my cat Avil's treatment. Everyone was incredibly kind and professional. They kept me informed about his progress morning, noon, and night, since he had to stay for two nights. I am so grateful for everything they did to help my cat recover from a bladder infection that had prevented him from urinating. God bless them all.
