My super senior cat was sick and the vet was very good at helping me figure out the best course of treatment for her. When we realized that her medicine wasn't going to work, and it was time for kitty to cross the rainbow bridge, the staff were professional, caring, and supportive. They really did the best job possible in a difficult situation. I'm glad that I came here and am very grateful for the care that they gave my cat. Thank you, McHenry Pet Hospital.

I have switched my dog (age approx. 7 yrs) Maggie's care to McHenry Pet Hospital. We rescued Maggie 5 years ago. She always "snarfled" and sneezed a lot. My previous vet said it was allergies and recommended using benedryl twice a say. The conditioned worsened and Maggie was having trouble breathing. I took her to the vet twice in 2 weeks and paid close to $700 only to be referred to a specialist who quoted over $5000 for diagnostic testing (rhinoscopy) more if surgey or additional treatment was called for, up to $10k. I took Maggie to Dr. Kindra for a second opinion. The office staff was very frirndly and welcoming. The waiting área was simple, but clean. Dr. Kindra examined Maggie and very thoroughly explained possible causes for the problem, testing that he could do (why and the costs involved). He also recommended a rhinoscopy as the best, most cost effective option and the reasons why. He recommended I look into the vetinary teaching hospitals for a more cost effective solution. I took Maggie to UW Madison where all testing was completed, including the rhinoscopy. They confirmed there were no growths, no fungus, no cancer. They also flushed out her nose and extracted what the vet said was the largest tissue they had ever seen come out of a dog's nose! It looked like a jelly fish with tentacles! They kept her overnight in the hospital for 2 days. They said she had probably inhaled a foreign object and her body had been trying to heal or reject it for all those years. Needless to say, Maggie is a new dog. No more snuffles. No more (or much less) snoring. No more drugs. More energy. The cost for everything at UW was $4200. I sincerely appreciated the professionalism, time, and honesty of Dr. Kindra, and his reommendation of UW for specialized services that saved me a lot if money and I believe Maggie's life. He is our new vetinarian.

Dr. Kindra and the team are awesome!!! I am so happy he joined this pet practice....so thorough when examing my dachshunds and always does it with a smile. Brenda, front office staff, so great to work with..and I would highly recommend them.

I brought my kitten to them because I am local and they were the only place that could get me a rushed visit. But please don't bring your pets here, and read the one star reviews. Based on my experience, they were aggressive, hateful, and unprofessional. To start, the place was very dirty and smelt of urine. They did get us back into a room right away. Good thing because while waiting fights were breaking out in the waiting room that sounded like animals were getting hurt. Also, we must of been close to a staff break room because we heard members talking horribly about us and other patients. Giving full identifying information. Once a veterinary technician entered the room, she scared my kitten. Naturally, she did hiss and raise her back. The response from the technician was she "doesn't touch black cats." Refused to assist in putting my kitten on the scale. Still stating i need to do it because my cat looked scary. After she left I heard further negative comments about my kitten being said in the staff room. When the veterinarian entered the room, she reported " I'm not scared of black cats," and slammed my baby onto the table. Aggressively then starting treatments without my consent or explaining what was happening. (Shoving things into her butt) They were very offended when I refused any further treatment for my kitten and left. Stating " what's wrong with that lady". And that i "wasted their time." Continously referring to my female kitten as a male and saying no other clinics would accept treatment because I refused to let them give her shots. That is not true as I've been a pet owner my entire life and got her into a much better place a couple of weeks later. Do not support this clinic and I did not have the doctor many glowing reviews are talking about.

My family and I, absolutely love Dr. Green. She is enthusiastic, helpful and there for your pet. Dr. Green has been nothing but a blessing with our 3 year old golden retriever. She looks for the best interest in the family along with the dog. She has even brought out the textbooks to ensure we were giving and doing all we could for our sweet girl. She is always available for advice and or just a quick question. She loves follow up updates from what we endured with our girly. Truly can’t say enough great and positive things about Dr. Green. Dr. Green really goes above and beyond. We thank her for her hard work, dedication & never giving up on a families decision making.
