We love Miss Daisy she’s very healthy and i adopted her from rescue vet Memphis about a year and half ago I couldn’t imagine life without her !!!

Adopting from this rescue was a nightmare. I absolutely love my dog, but this rescue is deceiving. I adopted my female Boston terrier puppy back in 2024 and was told she was spayed. I was even given an exact date of her spay (10/28). Fast forward to July 2025 and she goes in heat. I bring her to the vet and they gave her an ultrasound and turns out she was never spayed. When we first brought her home, the rescue gave us vet records for a male dog named Ernie and whenever I called asking for a copy of her records they continuously made a different excuse as to why they would not give them to me. My vet was skeptical at the time and suspected the rescue never vetted my dog because the rescue also gave my veterinarian the runaround when it came to getting the vet records. Instead they faxed my vet the same records for Ernie and instead crossed his name out with pen and wrote hers. My vet said that wouldn’t be valid. The rescue claimed that she tested negative for all parasites, but when my vet tested her it turns out she had Coccidia and Giardia. To this day we still have not received her original vet records. Now it makes sense as to why they wouldn’t give me the records, because that would have proved they lied about spaying my dog. I am very disappointed. Not only was I charged 1500 dollars because she was a “benefactor breed” and paid for transportation, I was manipulated into thinking I was getting a dog who was spayed. With how expensive the adoption fee is, it would make sense that spaying is included. According to Tennessee law, all dogs must be spayed or neutered before adopting. I tried for weeks to contact this rescue with no luck. If the rescue was honest about her not being spayed, I would have spayed her earlier. Instead I was surprised when my dog went into heat and bled for 5 weeks and had to have an emergency spay. I do NOT recommend rescue vet Memphis if you are not local because if there is a problem they will not help you.

I work with rescues and I’m in and out of here all the time. I love these people. The owner helps me with questions day or night. His staff probably would too if I had their numbers. I dropped this boy off for transport the next day.

I took my kitten, Alfie, here after I found him roaming around in the parking lot at my office. They were very friendly and kind. They checked him out for any disease or parasites and then watched him for me so I could finish out my work day. Now he has a great home and is loving life with his new friend Gibson!

James Grimes the owner at Day and night has helped me with numerous rescue dogs getting them well and placing into awesome east coast rescues! In the pic he is meeting me with momma dog I just humanely trapped off of 1 40! She was assessed and set up for a very near delivery in my home! And she has a great rescue to go to! Awesome service not only to rescue dogs but to my personal pets as well! Love this place! His love of animals and his mission to help all animals in need clearly shines through. He has recently Acquired some of the best staff in Memphis. Highly educated and experienced folks.
