(from Google)We took our fur baby to see Dr. Robertson today for the first time, and our experience was great. From start to finish, every person we encountered was kind and treated our dog like their own. I would definitely recommend this place to others. Thank you to the team. ❤️
I will preface my statement with this: ALL other office staff were very kind and respectful and helpful. Not the doctor. I am writing this through tears and as a warning and a PSA regarding this doctor. After years of bringing my cat to this clinic, I was met today with a level of coldness and cruelty I never thought possible from a medical professional. A doctor I have never seen before here at Veterinary Associates. I came in today physically exhausted after receiving my own medical infusions. Because I currently lack the physical strength to safely administer my cat's medications or collect the necessary samples at home, I asked for professional help. Instead of the compassion or assistance you would expect for a sick animal and a struggling owner, I was met with excuses and a very disturbing coldness that I will never forget from Dr. Robertson. When I questioned her excuses (since I was so confused that a vet couldn't perform these basic things), that's when the conversation spiraled down. Apparently they couldn't administer the revolution, antibiotics, or collect a fecal or urine due to my cat being "too stressed" even through I dropped the cat off to go to my infusion giving them ample time to figure it out (several hours). When I simply questioned why they couldn't perform the services I was paying for, I felt that she turned incredibly hostile. She gaslit me, told me I was 'upsetting the staff' (despite the actual staff telling me I was fine), and—most traumatizing of all—threatened to have my cat taken away from me. To top off the nightmare, she banned me from the clinic, leaving my cat without the veterinary care they have known for years, all because I asked for help and requested them do those things which they have never had an issue doing before. The lack of basic human empathy was staggering. To be threatened and kicked out in this circumstance and when I happen to be going through my own stuff is heartless. Please, if you view your pets as family and value your own peace of mind, be very careful before trusting this doctor.
I truly thank Dr. Gossett for saving our pup. He is doing great and she was able to figure out what was wrong with him - she performed surgery on him and he’s doing wonderful now. If you are looking for a vet this is the place. She is amazing, she cares and so does her Team. They went above and beyond, and I will be forever grateful to them.
I love Dr. Morgan. He is professional but calm and comforting when discussing health care and treatment of a beloved pet. He explains options for treatments along with costs and I trust his knowledge and advice which my pet has benefited from on multiple occasions. I would highly recommend him for your pets needs.
We’ve been coming here for years, but we’ve finally had enough. Their pricing has become completely unreasonable. They insist on scheduling a vet visit every time, which costs $90, even if the vet spends less than a minute with your pet. Each visit is the same script: “Your dog needs their teeth cleaned; we can send you an estimate.” We came in for a UTI, not a sales pitch. What’s especially frustrating is that both this visit and the last, they were prepared to prescribe antibiotics before the urine test results were back. If that’s the case, what exactly is the purpose of the mandatory vet visit? The office visit fees alone feel excessive, but the medication pricing is where it becomes egregious. You’re asked to wait while they “finish up,” yet you can clearly hear staff chatting in the hallway. When they finally return, they present medications you didn’t ask to have filled there. We absolutely want our dog treated—but not at wildly inflated prices. For example, they charged $30 for 10 pills that Costco quoted at $5.99. This isn’t an isolated incident; every medication we’ve received from them has been drastically marked up. Even a medicated dog shampoo was $90 when the same product sells elsewhere for around $20. I strongly recommend looking for a different veterinarian who is transparent, reasonably priced, and focused on care—not upselling.
