(from Google)I am not one to write reviews, but I do think it is necessary that I do so for my poor experience at this vet. I took my boy kitten here to get neutered and he had no issues. When I took my girl kitten to get spayed, it was a different story. She ended up being in heat which did make the procedure a little more difficult, I understand, but this was still a standard procedure. The next day she was vomiting, not eating, not drinking, and lost all energy. I took her into the NKC vet clinic and they only did 2 tests. They didn't figure out what was wrong with her after seeing her white blood cell count was extremely low, and had a 103+ fever. They sent her home with more pain meds and left me with a total of $650 bill which is including the spay visit. At this point I am thinking that everything had to be okay since they did not schedule a follow up appointment or notify me of anything to look out for besides discomfort. She didn't move for 9 hours after I brought her home. I finally called the emergency hospital to see if her behavior was normal and they said to bring her in immediately. She ended up having to say for 2 full nights in the ICU due to a bacterial infection of the wound and a 104+ fever. Mind you, I brought her into the hospital the SAME day I took her into the vet. I will disclose that they said they couldn't pin point if NKC did anything wrong since they were not physically at the procedure, but I can't help thinking they could've at least done more for her when I followed up with them after her surgery. Throughout this whole process, I thought I was going to lose her. Thankfully, after the long care at the ICU and new vet I found for her, she is back to normal. I will not be bringing my cats to this vet for the lack of care that my cat went through and I would not recommend anyone else to do so either. Response to NKC's reply: NKC did NOT tell me you thought my cat's wound was infected. You just gave me more pain meds. You actually didn't address anything about the wound itself when I brought her in the second time. And me saying the hospital couldn't blame you because they weren't physically there actually does not diminish the possibility something went wrong during the procedure.
Our dog, Mr. Bean, was well taken care of at NKC Animal clinic. The front desk staff is very friendly, and the doctor is great with dogs and clearly knows what they’re doing. We had a wonderful experience with NKC Animal Hospital and really appreciate their care!
I came because my cat was not keeping food down. They ran all kinds of test and was told my cat had tape worms. The vet bill was through the roof. Your pet is your family reason I found another vet place that was not for profit. My cat is doing good but I won't be able to afford another pet in the future due to vet bills getting higher and higher. Get cost before they do all these test and compare cost with other vet places too. The thinking is if they love their pet they will pay any cost. Be careful of Big Vet (Private Equity) who own these clinics for profit. Reply: That's a Corporate price strategy. Especially if they push for a lot of tests that may not be needed. Be an advocate for your pet and your pocket book. Don't fall the hard way the high cost of vet care like I did. Don't be shocked when it's time to pay.
I can’t thank NKC Animal Clinic & Daycare enough for their incredible care and compassion. When we found a stray kitten in dire need, they were fully booked but still made room to save her life. Their team acted swiftly, getting her into emergency surgery with remarkable speed and thoroughness. The care they provided was exceptional, and their kindness shone through every step of the way. Thanks to their amazing work, Luna (formerly Lady) is now thriving and has found her forever home with us. NKC Animal Clinic & Daycare is truly a lifesaver, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking top-notch veterinary care!
My little man was diagnosed with cancer this past year. I’ve been going to this vet hospital since it opened and they have been more than accommodating with his and my needs. Every question was answered with genuine care and after his surgery they made sure to make him comfortable and check in on him often. I haven’t had a vet hospital be this loving and accommodating to the needs of my little Boomer. I will always do business with them!
