(from Google)Probably the worst veterinary experience I have had in both large and small animal care. Veternarian: Dr. Bailey I scheduled a farm/house call, which carried a $300 fee simply for the visit and examination. While I felt the cost was high, I understood and accepted it. However, upon arrival, the first interaction was IMMEDIATELY being asked to sign a payment agreement before receiving so much as a hello, greeting, and introduction. When I asked for clarification regarding the initial charges, neither staff member accompanying the veterinarian could explain the costs, and the veterinarian stated that pricing should have been discussed before the appointment. As a client, I found it concerning that the staff present were unable to explain the fees being charged. I also thought it was weird when one of the individuals said to the doctor "OK signature received you can proceed" Three individuals arrived for the appointment, including the veterinarian. During the examination, I was the only person physically handling and restraining the animal. One individual appeared to be a veterinary tech observing, while the other provided no assistance and spent much of the visit interacting with one of my dogs. Given the number of people present, I expected at least some level of support during the examination. I was also charged both for medication and for administering the medication. In my experience with numerous veterinary practices, both large and small animal, I have never encountered a separate administration charge for a routine treatment especially without it being clearly communicated beforehand. The following day, I called the office to discuss my concerns. Rather than addressing them professionally, the veterinarian became argumentative and repeatedly interrupted me. During the conversation, he made comments such as, “Now I offer no guarantee for the outcome of your animal,” and suggested that I “take my business elsewhere.” While I fully understand that no veterinarian can guarantee outcomes, those statements felt unnecessary and unprofessional in the context of a customer service discussion. I will also note that the veterinarian had some of the poorest bedside manner I have experienced. While bedside manner alone does not determine the quality of care, professionalism and communication are important aspects of any medical service. during our phone conversation, he complained about having to get on the ground to handle the animal. (he did not handle anything I did all the handling) As a large animal vet, this is absolutely within the scope of a DVM and we were also inside a house... not at a farm, or in a field, or barn stall. The veterinarian did provide a treatment plan and recommendations for the animal. That was the one positive aspect of the experience but, this should be the basic expectation from a DVM. The office operations were equally disappointing. I received multiple calls asking if the animal was ready for the appointment, yet the team still arrived late. Overall, the staff appeared disorganized, uninformed regarding pricing, and unprepared to provide a professional customer experience. When calling they had no idea how to review the invoice subsequently getting the doctor to attempt to explain. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this practice to anyone. While treatment was provided, the lack of professionalism, poor communication, questionable billing practices, and overall customer service left me with little confidence in the business.
Yesterday my Shih Tzu was spayed at Walden Lake Animal Clinic. I was so grateful for the ease in scheduling and that Dr. Bailey would take care of her so quickly before she went into heat. He was a wealth of knowledge and when I picked her up, he took the time to sit with me and explain everything and answer all my questions. I was impressed with a couple of calls I received during the day from staff - Dr. Bailey had noticed a couple of things that were easily taken care while she was under anesthesia. The office was clean and professional. The staff was all friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, even carrying her to my car. I was previously not aware this vet also offers 24-hour emergency care as well as grooming and other services. I highly recommend Walden Lake Animal Clinic and will continue to seek care for my fur babies there.

I found a dog on highway, when I opened the door she ran into my car. She had no tag or anything. I took her to vet, and they scanned her microchip and we were able to find owner in 10 min. They did this all after hours. We were able to find Dixie her parents! She’s now safe home thanks to Walden Lake Animal Clinic! No charge was done.
A doctor that ANSWERS his emergency line…. Who offers verbal advice and support immediately… who stops what he is doing to help… this is the Dr you want for your beloved pets. Dr. Bailey might not be the cheapest in town but 💯 the best. He saved my poodle’s life. He didn’t have to spend his Sunday saving my animal but he DID! I am thankful and grateful for Dr Bailey & his service!
