We love VWCR. I think we've seen most of the doctors here and they are all fantastic. Our dog Basil has some allergies and they've been wonderful helping us navigate them. The front desk staff are amazing and the veterinary assistants always make Basil feel comfortable! She can be reactive and they always work with us on helping her get in and out, which is a huge plus.

This is the most magical place to go for veterinary care. For both the human and the pet. The people are overly kind, loving, patient, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, clean, responsive, etc. The facility is beautiful. It is calming and inviting for all pets and humans. It has a calming vibe from the entrance to all of the exam rooms. It feels like a spa. I love their window shelves of plants. I love the water feature. Everything is extremely clean and sanitary. I have no complaints. I wish I would’ve found this place when I first moved here four years ago. I love taking my dog there. I love seeing every single employee who works there. I love them all. They put a smile on my face. And they treat my dog so well. I’ve never experienced this level of care and sincere love for any pet in all of the decades of having dogs and going to the vet. I couldn’t imagine taking my dog anywhere else. This place is special.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Quatmann, Dr. Hickman and the rest of the amazing staff at VWC. I can’t thank them enough for the outstanding care they gave me and my sweet Dodger over the years. They never made me feel like I was rushed and that they truly listened to my concerns and gave Dodger the best treatments that he needed. They also show such compassion when he passed. Now, I have a new furbaby and I know he will have the best medical care whenever necessary because he is a new patient at VWC.

Absolutely excellent! My little guy was nearly killed in a vicious dog attack, and after 3 visits, my vet said he needed 24/7 care and probably immediate surgery, which they couldn't get to until 3 more days. With my approval, they set up a transfer to the Roanoke Emergency Vet Clinic on Peters Creek Rd. He was in surgery by 10pm. (doctors and vet techs rotate on a 24-hour basis) and began a 4-night, 5-day stay for around the clock care. I can not emphasize enough how impressed I was by the cleanliness of the facility, as well as the compassionate care my dog needed. It was truly a "touch and go" situation, and I was sigrateful for the care he received. Not only was every vet I spoke with throughout his stay knowledgeable and professional, but they were all caring, up to date on my dog's condition, and plan of care every day that I was there, and that was EVERY day that he was hospitalized. (When my boy wouldn't eat, I got a call every morning to come and try to feed him.) To add to anyone's peace of mind, a vet tech's shift places that individual in charge of no more than two animals at a time. My guy had to have tubes checked and be taken out of his crate every hour on the hour. As for the techs' compassion and skill, I cannot say enough. The final tribute to the incredible experience my dog and I had at the clinic actually came from my dog. On two required return visits, my little guy went (eagerly!) as fast as he could go to the clinic's front doors, into the waiting room, and finally to the back part of the clinic for the care he still needed. Never have I seen a dog so happy to go back to a vet where he received life-saving but often difficult care. Everyone may not share my experience at the Emergency Clinic, but read the reviews, and you will see that, by far, the vast majority echoes my sentiments regarding their experiences. My advuce to anyone seeking care, either for themselves or a pet, is this: if you don't understand a procedure or a plan, ASK ABOUT IT. Not angrily, but with the level of professionalism of the person you are speaking with. If you are unhappy with the direction the offered care is proceeding, take yourself or your pet elsewhere AFTER getting the questions you have answered. You may be too upset to think rationally about the situation in which you find yourself - don't burn bridges before you know what is on the opposite side. Enough said!

The BEST fear free vet clinic in town!!!! They were so so so so sweet with my 5 month old puppy Nova! We all had a blast and Nova was so happy the entire time! Even while getting her shot! 10/10 would recommend! I’ve never had such a good experience at a vet clinic as I did with this facility’s AMAZING staff!
