Los Caballos Veterinary Clinic LLP

Very caring people. My little old man Shih Tzu had several issues. I have been to 4 different vets, all telling me different things. It got to the point that we had to find a place to put him down. I heard good things about Los Caballos and gave them a call. The receptionist Alexis asked if we wanted a second opinion before putting him down and I agreed. The vet, Dr. Probably, thoroughly checked him out and ran some tests. She gave me the answers I was looking for. She gave me the option to try a certain treatment to see if there was a chance though she was very honest that she did not know the true outcome. We tried the overnight hospital treatment and he was much better and returned home. They told me to call them if anything was needed no matter the hours of the day. However the next day he went down hill. It was a Sunday that I decided it was his time and Dr. Probandt met me at the clinic. She was very kind and patient with me while I spent the last moments with my little guy. They also handled the cremation for me which arrived a week later. It's sad I had to put my little guy down, however it was his time. Dr. Probandt was very helpful and tried what she could do with honesty. I can at least know we found out what was truly going on with him and tried everything I could. I also appreciate them being there after hours as there is no emergency vet in San Angelo. Definitely recommend this vet.

We've been coming to Los Cabellos for over a decade now. I love that they've hired a Vet that used to be a vet tech here years ago. We see Dr. Bennett though and she's awesome - very sweet to my timid dogs, while being knowledgeable and thorough in diagnosing. I always love that Dr. Probandt volunteers for local spay and neuter clinics, helping to reduce the stray animal problem our town suffers from.

I took my dog in for a dental appointment and had labs done, the staff is great there. My pets see both Dr. Bennett and Dr. Probation, my older dog is given exceptional care. We needed a follow up and again staff is Awesome, wouldn't go anywhere else. My pets have also seen Dr. Womack in the past and he did a great job too. 👏👏👏👏, Los Caballos is a great place.

When my dog went into a non-stop seizure, the vet met me there at 10:30 PM on a Sunday to save my dog’s life. The final bill was about a third what I’d have paid elsewhere. It was a fair price. Price, quality and after hours availability are why I move to Los Caballos.

I’ve been using Los Caballos since 2019 and my pets have always received exceptional care! From cats and dogs to my goats, the staff is always incredible. Typically we see Dr. Probandt but have made our rounds through the other vets when she’s unavailable. They are always thorough and make sure to answer my questions and care for my babies. I have one reactive dog and they always make sure we are in and out without making contact with other dogs. They were there for losing our older dog a few years ago, and then welcoming a new puppy last year and no matter what they always go above and beyond. I could go on for days about the amazing care from the Los Caballos staff but I’ll stop here! We love the LC family ❤️
