Id give 0 stars. Do not waste your time with this establishment. I had an RX sent Sept 2. Heard nothing so I called the 8th. Come to find out, & only when I called, that there was an issue with my RX. So they had to call my dr to get it resent & told me they'd text me when its ready. I waited a couple days, checked back in after no text. It was the 10th now and i was able to get confirmation it was recieved, filled and would be sent out over night. I paid for the medication & shipping. Waited. Waited. Waited. Called again that Saturday and asked where my medication was and what was taking so long. Was told now it wouldnt be here until September 15th. This medication needs to be refrigerated so the tech told me to call Monday the 15th and ask for a replacement to be sent out at no cost. So i waited till that Monday, got my medication and it was no longer even "cool,". It was quite warm so then I decided to call and ask for the replacement. The tech said she needed approval and would know in 20 mins and text with an update... hours went by. No update. So i called AGAIN and was told they'd refund my shipping on the original med order, send the new one overnight, and call me the very next day Tuesday the 16th. What do you know.. crickets. I called and left a message the 17th.. crickets. I have no idea if i will even recieve the replacement meds. Still no refund. Today is Friday the 19th. I waited long enough to post this review and I cannot believe this level of "customer service". I understand other reviews are great, which led me to use this business. But please do not waste your time. It should not be this difficult to get a medication that was prescribed. technical issues with phone lines doesnt excuse the fact that this has been an issue since September 2nd with the original RX. Today is the 23rd. STILL NO MEDS

This is the second time I’ve been told my dogs meds have been mailed and they’re not. Not only are they not mailed this time they are not even making it and don’t know if they will be in the future. I have been tools they were sent out twice this month. And have wasted this time trying to find another pharmacy. Plus the price was raised two times the amount I have been paying. Not professional and scared for my dog

Have been getting my cats prescription here for years. They used to have a message when you call them that said “when we say we’re fast, we mean it!” And they used to be. My vet could call it in and it would be ready to pick it up the next day. Unfortunately, they have erased that message, and now it takes about a week for her prescription to be ready. So best to plan ahead.

I have used MFV, both professionally and for my own pets. The support from the team when calling in has been a positive experience (Hannah is very pleasant and reliable with following up on the status of my orders). Overall, pleased to have a local compounding pharmacy!

TL;DR: my dog went without meds because MFV was unable to fulfill orders and didn't inform their customers about the delay. I placed an order using the online refill form (the second time I've used the form) on 2/20 and got an email saying that the medicine would be made and shipped out in the next 1-2 business days. MFV contacted me and said my order couldn't be processed until I called them back. Weird, but ok. I called them back on 2/27 and gave them my credit card info again, which seemed to be the holdup. My credit card was charged on 2/28. On 3/10, I called to check on my order status. I was told that the sterile room needed maintenance and they hadn't been able to make any meds back there. My understanding was that the room was now fixed, and I was told the medicine would "hopefully go out today or tomorrow." On 3/17, I called to check on my order again. I was again told that the facility was down for maintenance "for a few days" and that they were "working on it" and that it would hopefully ship out in a few days. I said that wasn't good enough - I was told the same thing last week, I was out of meds and really needed a refill. They offered me free overnight shipping after the meds were made, which is a nice gesture but doesn't get the meds created any faster or give me a delivery date I can plan around. On 3/19, I cancelled the order and got my vet to transfer the prescription to Stokes. I understand that sometimes there are facility issues. I'm not upset about that, and I'm sure they were backed up if the facility was (is?) down for that long. I am upset that they did not communicate this issue to their customers. If you are unable to fulfill orders in the promised timeframe, you should immediately contact any customers with orders in limbo, tell them their orders are delayed, and give them a good faith estimate of when their orders will ship, with further updates as needed. If you make chess boards and fail to communicate about delayed orders, that would be bad, but it's completely unacceptable when you are making medicine that our furry family members rely on to stay healthy. If someone had contacted me promptly about the delay, I would have called my vet and gotten an alternate treatment plan for my dog right away. But because I'd gotten an email confirmation that the order was processing, because my my credit card was charged, and then because I was told they were working on it and I'd have it soon, I waited. I trusted Med For Vets to provide reliable service and reliable information about my order status, and I don't feel like I've gotten either of those things, at the expense of my dog's treatment plan. Right now, there is no mention of shipping delays on their website, on their social media (the ones I can see anyway), or on their online order form. If they were so backed up they couldn't get my order out in almost 3 weeks, you'd think they would be proactively letting people placing new orders know about the delay.
