Santa Barbara Equine Practice, Karen Blumenshine DVM

Dr Blumenshine is the best vet I've ever had! Very responsive, communicative, and really takes the time that is needed with your animal (both to treat and to explain the treatment plan/options). I always looked forward to her visits and knew that my mare was in good hands. Thank you Karen!

Dr. Blumenshine is wonderful and I'm so grateful for her help with my horse. Her passion for animals is unwavering and her communication with everyone involved is reassuring. Thank you Dr. Blumenshine!

Karen is the best!

Excellent vet. Thorough, experienced, and professional.

I have had Karen Blumenshine as my equine vet for 30 years, in fact right out of vet school in San Diego California. She is a wonderful compassionate knowledgeable vet, not only for horses but wildlife animals as well. When I moved to Santa Barbara, Ca and found out that Karen Blumenshine was here as well I immediately contacted her to be my vet. Some facts that you might not be aware of, she was the vet for the Olympic three day trials and was most trusted to escort "I'll Have Another" to Japan where he is living out his life breeding. What isn't there to like and trust in Karen Blumenshine.
