This is my service dog's vet. He recently could not hold down food and had digestive problems which obviously made me extremely concerned. We took him in almost as soon as I called and the staff was already prepared for us. They got him seen almost immediately and started the needed testing to determine what was going on. They treated him like he was theirs and made sure we were kept updated on how all the tests were going. We ended up getting multiple meds and a special diet food and he is back to being his old self. These people, from the front end staff, to the techs, to the vet herself, are some of the best. A great place to take your pet and get on one of their plans to save money as well. It's a superb veterinarian climic.

We have had nothing but great experiences with other banfield locations, the Springfield, MO location is just the exception to the rule. After reading more of the reviews on here it’s shocking that they still hold a 4 star rating.. Checking in just felt chaotic, it felt like they didn’t really listen to what we were asking to be done for our two dogs visits, and that was confirmed when we received a call 5 hours later on the services we requested.. We took our dogs in for routine checkup’s, our little guy also needed a shot. Dropped in the morning and literally every other banfield we have been to, we get a call around 11-12 that they are ready for pickup. It’s on me for not asking a time frame, but this is one of the closest locations to the area we moved (2hrs away) so we did what we could to kill time in town, but for 2 checkups and a shot it took 6 hours… After picking them up they are usually just excited to see us, but they were so anxious, they both started running for the exit.. They clearly didn’t just have the normal vet anxiety. Our 12lb little guy doesn’t drink too much water in a normal day, we gave him some water and he drank so much so quickly it was obvious that he didn’t get any water for the 6 hours he was in their care. Nothing against banfield but everything against that location. Sharing to inform others, hopefully something will change at that location. After our experience, we will not be going back, even if it means driving further away, our dogs deserve better care then they were given..

The staff is great. Don't get their wellness plan unless you expect to pay for every single visit. I was told when I got the plan that nail clipping was included and just found out after the clipping that it's $21

Very disappointed and will never be going back to Banfield. We took our german shepard to Banfield back in December to see what was wrong with him. They suspected lymphoma and said it would be nearly $1000 to test. We told them we could not afford that so they recommended a medication trial. The meds didn't help so we brought him back for a quality of life check where they said he had cancer and the best thing to do is euthanasia. They didn't even recommend a second opinion before suggesting to euthanize. After weeks of being heart broken and great consideration, our friend told us about her vet. We took our boy there and we appreciate them so much. After testing for cancer for less than $100 we found out that he in fact does NOT have cancer! We almost killed our baby boy over a simple thyroid issue causing all his symptoms! It tooke less than $400 to pay for everything he needs to begin recovering!!!
