Cora, Dr. M, Chelsea, and Alex, are all so amazing and friendly, I’m a first time cat owner and they made me and my fluffy new addition feel welcome and cared for! I was promptly taken to the examination room and they let my cat walk around and get comfortable! They answered whatever questions I had and treated my cat as if she was their own. Pricing was very nice for what I had done! (Dewclaw clipping, nail trim, re-up on rabies vaccine) and they didn’t hesitate to breakdown prices for me! I want to give thanks to Chelsea and Alex for getting my sweet baby a profile set up as well as being very nice about explaining appointments! I want to also give lots of thanks and appreciation to Cora and Dr. M for being so kind and understanding of my situation, as well as being so helpful until the time I left the office. Will be making them my main place for veterinary needs!!

It was our first time there with our cats and they truly make you feel welcome. The doctor and vet tech were amazing with my resistant cats and treated them as if they were their own. I was impressed by the cleanliness as well as the decor. They even have hand-drawn art on their whiteboards! Dr. Z was very exceptional and thorough. Even Chelsea at the front was incredible with being very accommodating and understanding. You truly felt cared for and not just out to make money. We will continue to go there and make them our primary veterinarians.

We really needed a trusted vet that is a family & pet oriented service over dollars on the south side of St Pete (all unlike the ‘other’ local vet). My fur babies and I feel like family in every way when we arrive to see Dr Vega and his staff; no task or request is too small or big. There are no hidden costs and they are really great with sometimes difficult animals or human schedules. Even the other parent pets are friendly when we are all coming and going.

A couple months ago my 6 year old rescue bulldog developed an eye infection and the little stinker managed to hide it from me for a while. When I finally saw it, I took him to his vet. She threw some drugs at it but basically she gave up before she fought the battle saying he needs a specialist. Yup, And I need to win the lottery. I wanted a second opinion, mainly I wanted a vet that would try to save his eye, on my limited budget. My search led me to Dr Vega at Bayview Animal Hospital, and we made an appointment. My little rescue dog, well, he had a traumatic past and trust doesn't come to him easily. When we walked in Bayview, it seemed like every single staff member knew who Mr Buddyboy was. The love they all felt for him was overwhelming and they made sure he knew it. They treated him like he was a rock star, and I think their love made him glow. They put us in an exam room, and Isaiah, the vet tech, came in, He sat down on the floor at dog-level and started calmly talking to Mr BuddyBoy, he made him comfortable before he got down to business. Then Dr Vega came in, and he sat on the floor, too, just talking calmly to Mr BuddyBoy. Both these guys, their empathy for his past traumas was so genuine. Every single staff member I've met, the love they have for animals is obvious, they all truly care, they treat our pets like it was their pet. Dr Vega did tell me, a corneal ulcer if not treated quickly, is a big deal. He recommended that I consult an ophthalmologist. I explained how limited my budget was, and he actually understood! We've spent two months seeing Isaiah and Dr Vega every week. Dr Vega did a simple debridement which helped, but not enough. It seemed like a dead end ... then Bayview bought a diamond tipped debridement tool, and Dr Vega did a full debridement on Mr BuddyBoy's eye! Of course I paid for it but the price was a lot more affordable than any specialist would have been! It's been a few weeks now since that second debridement, and Mr BuddyBoy's looks almost perfect. There is a tiny bit of scar tissue that will probably never go away, but his eye is 98% back to normal. OMG, there's just no words that can do justice to the gratitude I feel toward Dr Vega, and the entire staff at Bayview Animal Hospital. Not only did they save my BuddyBoy's eye, but their love earned his trust, and helped heal his spirit. They all still treat him like a rock star. But the truth is the Staff at Bayview Animal Hospital, they are the real rock stars. Love heals all, and they all love him. Mr BuddyBoy agrees, he loves going to the vet now.

We recently had our first visit at Bayview after being at a previous vet for almost 6 years. My dog, Hazel, has always dreaded these visits and gives the staff a hard time, every time. It can be extremely isolating and nerve-racking as an owner with an anxious dog, but the staff here did a great job at making us feel as comfortable as possible. Hazel still gave them a run for their money 🤣 but Cora and Dr. Vega were very professional and kind. They even suggested we swing by occasionally just so Hazel can start to like the experience a bit more. I look forward to working with Bayview in the future and highly recommend them to anyone in the area! Thank you!!!
