It’s a shame this place is one of the only affordable options for vaccines because this was genuinely one of the worst vet experiences I’ve ever had. I brought my cat in recently and got a room immediately. He was perfectly fine with the intake woman and only gave one small growl the entire time she was in there. He was calm, not hiding, and manageable. Then we waited over 45 minutes for the vet. The second the vet walked in the room with giant gloves and a huge net before even attempting to interact with my cat, everything changed. Instead of coming in calmly or even asking me if my cat was aggressive first, he immediately cornered him with all this equipment out. My cat became terrified instantly. In the year I’ve owned him, including multiple vet visits, I have NEVER seen him react like that toward anyone, including me. The entire appointment felt bizarre and unprofessional. The staff and vet were correcting each other in front of me, arguing back and forth, and it honestly felt like the staff were teaching the vet what to do. The vet barely tried to interact with my cat normally before jumping straight to talking about rescheduling, using a net, or anesthesia. When I asked if they had anything to help calm him down, they acted like I didn’t know what I was talking about when I explained that he takes gabapentin and that it works quickly for HIM specifically because I know my own cat. What frustrated me most is that nobody even thought to try treats or food until I suggested it. They went straight from giant gloves to a net to anesthesia. The second they left the room and brought me food, I calmly got him back into the carrier myself with almost no fight at all. One hiss, no scratching, no attack, nothing. That alone proved to me that the environment and handling style were what escalated the situation. One of the techs even told me “he’s going to be mad at you all day either way,” which ended up being completely false. The second we got home he was completely normal again. No aggression toward me, no aggression toward the other cats, no growling, no hissing. He’s currently laying on the windowsill acting like nothing happened. What makes this worse is that I’ve heard similar stories from other people, including my roommate whose completely non-aggressive dog was treated strangely there too. This vet has a very odd demeanor and seems to make already nervous animals significantly more stressed instead of calmer. You get what you pay for. I would never recommend this vet to anyone.

totally understand how they keep their prices low, so I'm not gonna complain about the fact that it took quite a while after my appointment to be seen. I was there about an hour after my appointment time total to get vaccinations done. Staff was friendly enough, but I do have concerns. I understood going in that I was just gonna be there for vaccinations and would never go there for an emergency or for really anything more in depth which is how I treat Banfield as well. You get what you pay for. However, just because it's a budget clinic, doesn't equate to having ignorant staff. For example, my cat has a small bald spot on her head, and I am not entirely sure what happened if it was a scratch or what but you can tell that the redness underneath now is healed. Asked if there was any kind of ointment or anything I needed to be prescribed and was advised to use Neosporin. Now I am more educated than some people bringing their pets to the vet that don't know anything. Neosporin is not safe at all for cats. Also, before the vet even introduced himself which honestly I don't even think he did, when he did come in the room felt like I was being interrogated and immediately asked why I have a FIV cat living with a non-FIV cat. Had my cats almost 2+ years, they get along perfectly fine never had fights and I'm pretty educated on FIV. It's not a death sentence what am I going to do separate my cats that have known each other from the time I adopted them? Not realistic or practical. Feel bad for people who only have this option and don't do their own research to know that you can get a second opinion from other vets because between this and my roommates dog having to come back twice for them to diagnose her with glaucoma when she's so obviously has it. I'm just very unimpressed with the level of care again, knowing that it's a budget clinic, but that doesn't mean that I should be dealing with people that don't understand these basic things. They could advise someone to use Neosporin and have an issue with another animal or a cat to advise someone in the wrong direction with how FIV works in cats. My cats get along therefore there is no problem with them living together.so to ask someone to separate the pets, they've had for 2+ years was just very bizarre when I've never ever had another vet say anything like that to me. He was friendlier to the cats than me didn't say bye I just left the room. Saved myself at least $100 by getting vaccines here but probably wouldn't go back.

Dr. Perla and staff are very caring people. I’ve never felt rushed. They take their time to fully review everything and explain your concerns. Once, I brought my mother in law’s dog in with an eye issue and Dr. Perla was very transparent with the course of treatment and a plan be, should that fail. Luckily, it was able to clear up within a few weeks of Dr. Perla’s care and follow up visits. I’ve gone in with appointments and gone in as a walk in on numerous occasions and always pleased with the treatment. Wait time transparency has been great! The prices are great, especially for those of us who have numerous adoptees. I’m thankful for their care.

I’m not sure why so many complaints about the wait time. If you’re reading these reviews like I did and still decide to go then you choosing to deal with the wait. We arrived at 1:30 and left at 5:30. The girl at the front desk was busy but polite. She got us checked in and told me she’d call when it was our turn. I just waited in my car like most of the people there. Every vet tech was sweet and caring to my dog. I didn’t interact with the doctor much but while he was in the room he check my dog and gave his recommendations. He even tried to waive the exam fee as what I thought I needed wasn’t necessary. The price is reasonable and I’d come back. But definitely I’d come in the morning when they first open for a shorter wait

The Relationship Live The naked truth

I’ve lived in this area for over six years and initially brought my pets to this clinic. Over time, I stopped going because I began to feel like the doctor was quick to prescribe medications without fully addressing the root issue—just trying to get patients in and out. Unfortunately, I recently had an emergency with my dog and, despite my reservations, returned to the clinic, hoping it was something minor and she just needed a little extra care. I was hesitant to proceed with the treatment plan and new medications because I didn’t feel confident she had a real chance at recovery. When I asked the doctor directly, he assured me that my dog could live another five years. He continued prescribing medication—even though she couldn’t swallow or close her mouth properly. Trusting his judgment, I left with hope that my dog would improve. Sadly, just three hours later, she passed away. This happened after I spent nearly $400—an amount I had already told him I couldn’t afford. I later wrote a letter expressing my grief and disappointment. Instead of compassion, I was told to sue him. That was never my intention. I wasn’t looking for a fight—only closure and a proper cremation for my beloved pet. I felt like I was misled and taking advantage of.
