Busch Animal Hospital

Years ago my 60 collie mix got hit by a car. Dr. Girgis took excellent care of her. Stitches & meds was only $400. At the time I didn't have Care Credit, but he arranged to take the fee in two payments! What a lifesaver. Now I have a new dog that needs a regular vet outside The Humane Society of Tampa Bay. That facility is swamped and when you do get an appointment, it takes hours on end to be seen just for vaccines, exam & tags! I'm going back to Busch Animal Hospital for sure.

I had two horrible experience with them. First time I took my Yorkie there for a check up so they can quote me for a deep cleaning of her teeth. They gave me a price that day. I agreed and scheduled an appoint for her to be put to sleep so they do the deep cleaning. Then the day of the appointment after I dropped her off. The office staffed called me stating it was going to be $125 more. No reason what's so ever. I told them not to do any procedure to her. I picked her up. The second experience I had is I went to buy pills from the vet. Which I previously brought before for $50-$55 before and when I got there to pick them up the doctor claim it was $90 when I didn't pay that the previous time. I explained that to him and he showed me a blank invoice telling me that is the same thing I paid last time. The vet is all about money and prices are extremely high for no reason. The location is not clean.

I took my dog for shots and a physical. It turns out she need her teeth scraped and her gums were infected due to the tartar build up. She had the procedure done the following week and it went very well. She was treated like a princess and i could tell Vera liked the doctor very much. He is gentle, kind, and very knowledgeable. He will be our vet forever! The only advice I woud give is to keep track of the cost for each treatment or medication received. The cost adds up very quickly and I had a bit of sticker shock both times I took her. I believe the cost was in line with other vets, but I am on a tight budget and this took place in December close to the holidays. But overall, I like this doctor and his staff very much!!

Dr. Girgis is a wonderful veterinarian, took very good care of my pup, she was very ill. I was terrified that she wasn't going to be okay. I am so very thankful to him, and so grateful to him for his help. The day after he treated my dog, he personally called to check up on her. Highly recommend this animal hospital!!

I recently came in to this clinic in December of 2013 because of a recommendation from a close family friend who brought her elderly dog to this clinic, when he was turned away from several other offices. Rocco was on the verge of dying from internal bleeding due to some disease, and so she brought him into Busch Animal Hospital. The doctor, who was very straightforward and kind, explained that he would give a good faith effort to examine the root of the problem and to perform any necessary work needed to help Rocco, instead of turning him away like all the other vets did. He immediately went to work, performing an emergency surgery, and within one week, Rocco was alive and well! I decided then to give this place a shot. The second I walked into this tiny clinic, I noticed the "homey" atmosphere it has. Its quiet, and very organized. I brought my pup, Toby, who is almost an 8 month old Jack Russell Terrier Mix cause I saw one of the specials he had advertised for an exam and shots. The appointment was quick and painless, the doctor was very nice and very knowledgable, and the prices were very affordable. Turns out the doctor only works on dogs and cats...My appointment was very quick and I was in and out within an hour. The receptionist who worked in the front window was also very kind and was quick to make Toby a record to be put on file. I recommend this place for anyone who wants a personal easy-to-deal with veterinarian who is honest and will tend to you and your dog's (or cat's) needs! Highly recommend Busch Animal Hospital.
