I brought my son’s 5+ year old Leopard Gecko here when he had swelling around one eye. He looked in rough shape and I was very worried. I am not a regular at this vet, but I called and they managed to get me in same day! The whole office was very kind, clean, and professional. The vet explained everything I needed to do for him in the most cost effective way. He was very patient and knowledgeable. I’m happy to report Godzilla is still on his way to recovery but he is recovering! I have a happy gecko and a very happy little boy that is patiently waiting for his best friend to fully recover. I’m incredibly grateful to this office!

I’ve been going to Citrus Park Animal Hospital for many, many years, and I can honestly say this is the best and most genuine veterinary office we’ve ever been to. They don’t treat you like a number, and they don’t just throw costs at you. They talk to you like real people, they’re honest, and you can tell they truly care about your pets and want to do what’s right for them. Our dog Marley had been going there since he was about a year old, and they were with us through his entire life. I’ll never forget when we brought him in and Dr. Brooks recommended doing a punch biopsy. That decision ended up meaning everything. It came back as cancer, but because we caught it when we did, we were able to have 9 more amazing months with him. Time we never would have had otherwise. They didn’t just diagnose and send us on our way either. They were there for the entire journey. Guiding us, supporting us, and helping us make the best decisions for Marley every step of the way. When it came time to say goodbye, there was no question where we were going. We brought him back to the people who had cared for him all those years. The compassion they showed us in that moment is something I will never forget. And when we brought Marley home after, the care they put into everything… the inscription, his paw print, his fur, and the card… it meant more to us than I can even explain. It showed just how much they truly care. I’ve seen some people mention prescription policies, but honestly, a lot of veterinary clinics do the same thing. And with the level of care, honesty, and compassion you get here, it’s completely understandable. This place isn’t just a vet. These are people who love animals and care deeply about the families attached to them. I’m beyond grateful for everything they’ve done for us over the years.

Amazing care for my chameleon at Citrus Park Animal & Exotic Vet! I brought my chameleon in, and the entire team went above and beyond from the moment we walked through the door. It’s not always easy to find a vet that truly understands exotic pets, but they clearly know their stuff and made me feel completely confident that my little guy was in the right hands. They handled him gently, explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, and took the time to answer all my questions. You can tell they genuinely care about the animals they treat, not just the common ones but the unique and delicate ones too. The staff was friendly, the clinic was clean, and the whole experience was smooth and reassuring. I’m really grateful for the level of attention and expertise they provided. If you have an exotic pet and want a vet who truly knows how to care for them, this is the place to go. Hes about 6 days into his medicine and doing better.

Amazing local vet and bonus - also experienced in the pet shipping process for international moves. Highly recommend these guys for general veterinary visits, so knowledgeable, caring and they take their time to answer all questions! and have to shout out the endless help and expertise of Gillian who has helped me navigate the international pet relocation process!! I’ve been bringing my pets to Citrus Park Animal, Bird & Exotics Hospital for 18 years, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else. Dr. Brooks has cared for my cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, snakes, and lizards — and he always goes above and beyond to figure out what’s going on. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and one of the most dedicated and compassionate vets I’ve ever met. The entire staff treats every animal like their own and puts genuine care into everything they do. Their compassion and commitment over the years have meant the world to me and my animals.
