Animal Care Veterinary Hospitals - West Haven

I couldn’t say more great things about this veteran clinic and their team. I recently had to make the hardest decision of letting my cat Oreo go. The level of compassion the staff showed was beyond any I have had before. Today when I got a sympathy card in the mail my heart was overwhelmed. I want to thank you all for helping me through that hard time. You have earned my respect and trust with all my future needs with my animals. Thank you so very much.

This has been my vet for 2 dogs so for the last 2 + decades I been spending my hard earned cash at this place. I've never had much of a problem besides vets sucking the cash from our wallets, I've always thought that the public have been taken advantage of when it comes to vets. However my dog is going through an emergency at this very moment. He had lost a visual amount of weight, stopped eating his routine foods, so I had been feeding him rice and chicken cuz that's all he's eating. Well I took him to an ER vet found out he had diabetes, very sick. Paid $500 that day. They gave me a script for insulin told me to fill it at any pharmacy so I thought ok this will be ok. Nope I can't get that specific insulin anywhere but Chewy.Com, but in order for them to fill it for me they have to formally speak to the vet, but the ER that seen him closed early that day, but they did fax over all his records to my vet which is Animal Care West. The one I've paid for 2+ decades, they know us they know my dog. I asked if they could give the chewy company the formal permission, they said no, we didn't see the dog. I understand that however you ppl know us you know my dog. They told me if I wanted to make another er appointment with them and pay another $500 to them they would help me. And when I told them I couldn't afford it they told me then my dog isn't that important to me then. So I hung up on them. So the er place that seen him was again closed the next day so here it is 3 days later, my dog even sicker then before. In order to get the insulin chewy has to still call the ER place for permission even though I have the paper prescription in hand. Then chewy will need to ship it out to me which is 3-5 business days. So here it is Thursday and they will be closed the weekend. So my dog may not make it all because the er vet gave me a script I cannot have filled and my personal vet which is Animal Care West in West Haven Utah won't do anything to try to help me. Needless to say they won't be getting any more of my cash. I'm done with humans that don't give a crap about animals, it's all about the money to them. I even have human insulin available to me & these ppl still would not help me figure out how much of this insulin to give to a dog they have cared for for 10 years. And they have some nerve to tell me I don't care about my baby dog enough. Find a vet out there that will care for your fur babies enough to help them on their death beds without that $500 dollar price tag. despicable humans.

I use their grooming facility! I trust them completely with my fur babies. They are only 6mths old and this is where they started. They are kind and careful!!

We usually go to a different clinic but I needed to get my dog in ASAP. They got me right in a were amazing! Dr. Sorenson was the absolute best. She treated my dog with love and compassion. He started feeling better the next day. We loved her so much that we took our kitten to see her . Again, she was great! She will now be our regular vet. I highly recommend her for your pet's medical needs

Dr. Katheryn Darby is the best. My wife and I adore her. She is the most caring Veterinarian. She is a professional in her field and she treats our little Kyla as if she were her own. We can depend on Dr. Darby at anytime. She always accommodates us when we have any health issues with our small Shitzu.
