Overpriced beyond comparison with prices high to suck money out of sad grieving families. They swore up and down my cat was stable and had well over a month before it was his time to cross over. When i checked my cat out he was in worse shape then when i brought him and had died not even 30 minutes later in my arms as we got home... I could tell when I saw him he wouldn't make it through the night, and your telling me A DOCTOR WITH A DEGREE cant tell the difference between a animal thats literally on the brink of death or not? So what is the explanation???? Is everyone on staff incompetent and unable to conduct an examination properly???? Or is it just better for the bottom line to milk out my family for more money for the night??? Or what even disgusts me more is if he even was being taken care of. I will never return here with any of my animals ever again and i strongly advise research into different emergency rooms for your pet

Dr. Carmichael is the absolute best. He was able to perform a full dental extraction on my diabetic senior cat, and there were absolutely zero issues. If you have a pet with dental issues and are seeking a true and compassionate professional, don't hesitate to make an appointment with him.

Our cat had feline stomatis and needed all of his teeth extracted. Our vet recommended Dr. Carmichael. After a consultation, the surgery was scheduled and went off without a hitch. I’m happy to report that it has made a world of difference. Recovery was quick and there was no sign that our cat was in any form of pain or discomfort. Now he has regained most of the weight he had lost, he runs around, plays and seems extremely happy. The surgery has truly transformed his life and was well worth every penny. I highly recommend Dr. Carmichael—he’s the only feline dental specialist within Long Island and he is absolutely knowledgeable, caring and competent. On a side note, when we arrived for the surgery, the staff collected the lower amount of our estimate. After surgery, we were actually issued a partial refund, much to our surprise and delight. That has never happened before and reaffirms that Dr. Carmichael and his staff have tremendous integrity and are as trustworthy as they are skillful. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I'll forever be grateful to Dr. Carmichael. Our mini goldendoodle (who is our 1st child) was diagnosed with a very aggressive tumor on Christmas Eve and our vet recommended we call Dr. Carmichael, so we did. After sending over the records we got a call back on the same day saying he could see us the day after Christmas. Walking into the appointment I was a total wreck. Dr Carmichael made us feel so comforted from the beginning, he showed compassion and made us really feel like everything was going to be ok. We were able to get on the surgery calendar immediately and Dr Carmichael kept us in the know throughout the entire duration.
