I took our Dog in for his annual physical and rabies vaccination. I waited 20 minutes in the exam room before I saw the technician. After the Veterinarian finally arrived she examined my dog and recommended lab work. I agreed without asking about the cost. They charged over $300 for a blood test that would have cost me $50 at Quest or LabCorp. And to make the experience worse, the last who checked me out was the rudest person I have dealt with in years. I will never bring my pets back to this Veterinary. I’m sure someone else will provide my dog care at a reasonable fee and the front office staff will be more customer service friendly.

I felt compelled to write this after seeing a recent negative review, because it does not reflect my experience at all. For over 16 years, Dr. Paul, Dr. Jill, and their entire team have cared for my dogs, and the level of compassion, professionalism, and dedication they show is truly exceptional. My first Maltese was diagnosed with Addison’s disease, and thanks to their knowledge and attentive care, he was saved not once, but twice. After him, I welcomed another Maltese into my life, along with my pit/boxer mix — and they have loved and cared for each of them as if they were their own. What has always stood out to me happened before I was even a client. Nearly 16 years ago, when my Maltese became suddenly very sick, someone recommended I call the office. It was 9:00 at night, yet Dr. Paul personally returned my call, spent 45 minutes guiding me through what to do, and scheduled an appointment for the very next day. That kind of commitment is something you never forget. For a full decade, they treated my dog through Addison’s disease with expertise, patience, and genuine compassion. I cannot say enough good things about this practice. They have earned my complete trust and deepest gratitude, and I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for outstanding veterinary care.

I will be contacting vet medical board If your cat is having difficulty breathing and is in distress do not bring your baby to this place for emergencies. Paul Gigliotti saw my cat, he was experiencing lethargy and was heavy breathing like abdominal in and out expanding. He stopped eating the night prior to bringing him in so around 9:30 at night and around 11:30 the next day i had him seen at Forest Hills for rapid breathing. The vet suggested a steroid shot (at the time i had no idea that if ur cat has underlying heart issues that a steroid could decline them). He checked his vitals, said everything seemed fine except the obvious fact he was breathing not good whatsoever and no eating. He listened to his lungs and said they sounded fine and discharged us to go home and keep an eye on him until monday and if nothing resolved bring him back WELL not even like a few hours later he started mouth breathing and was not getting better. We rushed him to the emergency vet and they were astonished by his condition and started him on oxygen and IMMEDIATELY gave him a lasik shot. (Helps drain possible fluid) the emergency vet pretty much told me from what it sounded like he should have been given lasik hours prior not a steroid shot. Steroid shot is like a bandage to help them feel better and can help respiratory distress a bit but lasik helps drain possible fluid which ended up being my babys issue. The emergency vet said they should have done x rays an that a cat breathing in such a way is a huge emergency and is super critical to have him pretty much hospitalized. That you cant tell if fluid is building up or not based on sound and that in a lot of cases x rays are needed to fully see damage occurring if any. They said Paul should have known that and by the time i got him to the emergency that is was already too late. So pretty much lasik could have saved my cats life instead of a silly steroid shot and then x rays and then do further blood work and she said he could have been put on medication depending on what was the issue of the breathing. I feel like the first vet at forest was more worried about him not eating and not worried about his breathing as much as he was him eating which was semi odd but i trusted the professionals yanno. The emergency vet was extremely disappointed to hear he was already seen by someone and they didnt warn me of possible dealth essentially bc he was in critical condition even from the jump they said. They said a cat not being able to breathe well or like rapid breathing like he was is a huge red flag and he should have been nearly hospitalized. Im extremely disappointed his situation wasn’t seen as serious until it got really serious because i did my part. He started breathing weird i immediately took him to the vet to be seen. Im just extremely disappointed and i can tell the lady at the emergency vet was too. I feel like my cat was neglected and his condition wasnt taken seriously like the emergency vet did. Im absolutely heartbroken and this came completely out of nowhere. He was healthy happy baby up until yesterday. If you’re reading this pls be aware. If your animal is breathing heavy pls take serious action bc their life could be on the line. Advocate for your baby. Mr. Man was my entire world and now im just supposed to go on with my life? He was the most beautiful cat. Heres a picture of him unfortunately passed bc his lungs were filled up the most humane thing to do at that point hours later was to sadly put him to rest. I had to get one last picture of him and his frosted ear tips. I WILL BE FIGHTING HARD FOR MY CAT. I should have checked the reviews this Paul guy has messed up a good bit apparently?? I want all of my money back im suing & reporting yall for malpractice on my precious angel. I TRUSTED YALL AND YOU FAILED ME AND MY MR MAN. I had to pay a emergency visit fee to get him in but i acted as soon as i could and noticed he was breathing heavy. He was acting completely normal the day prior to feeling bad so very sad and very scary.

I’ve been bringing my dog here for the last 4 years, and they are simply wonderful. My 8-year-old just had three tumors removed, and she was treated with so much care and professionalism throughout her surgery and aftercare. The vet did an amazing job, and I fully trust them with my girl’s health.

We have been clients here for years. I'm not sure why the care has become subpar but it has. In the past we've had great care with both Dr. Paul and Dr. Jill. Dr. Paul in the beginning would talk to us like adults but something changed and he started talking to us like we are children. Which we kind of just took with a grain of salt but it is quite annoying and we would request to see Dr. Jill if she had appointments available. Dr. Jill was a little more compassionate and would listen instead of talking over us like Dr. Paul. We took our cat in for what we thought was either diabetes or a UTI. She did blood work and it took her 3 days of me calling to get the results. Their reason was that not all the components have been received. Which I understood after they told me and I let it go until... Fast forward to last Monday 11/24 I called at 9:00am with a question about a medication. It is now 12/2 and she still hasn't called me back. I was fortunate enough to find another vet that answered all my questions and didn't treat us like a 3 year old.
