(from Google)Always so accommodating and friendly. The prices are great. They do a great job trimming my dogs nails. My dog's feet are very sensitive and they hate having their feet messed with, so trimming nails is a not an easy task! We haven't succeeded with the filing of their nails yet, but they are always patient and love on the dogs to help calm them down!
Unpredictable at best. The first grooming I had done was absolutely perfect; greeted by a friendly staff where I conveyed my desired cut (simple buzzing) and it was done to specification. I also prefer to pay up-front and they happily accommodated my request. About 8 weeks later, I booked a repeat and boy, was it a disaster. When I booked the second appointment (via phone), the person taking the reservation knew about the last cut and style along with the fact I simply wanted to do it again. When I arrived to drop off my dog, I was greeted by an absolutely miserable person who seemed more in the mood to argue than cooperate. They demanded to know what type of cut I wanted and I said "just like last time" to which they responded "I don't know what was done last time". I now must assume their computers are for looks not for knowledge. They also would not let me pay at the time of drop off. When I picked my dog up she had not been trimmed properly, her top knot had not been cut per my request and her nails were still particularly long. In addition, there were a number of rumpled-looking employees (I think) lurking about; I kind of think they were waiting to see if I was going to actually stomach this dreadful grooming but it also felt unprofessional, intimidating and deeply uncomfortable. Rather than get into a disagreement, I simply took my dog and left.
This will be my first time boarding any animal of mine and I must say Charli and Carmen have made the customer service and Boarding process so simple and easy, they both were super sweet, caring and informative. They answered all of my questions and were extremely patient with me going back-and-forth from calling their facility and calling my vet to make sure I could get everything I needed for my pup. My pup has been newly neutered and instead of them immediately shutting me down Charli asked if she could put me on hold and speak with her manager to see what they could do, even if the manager had said no I still would have 100% respect her taking the time to ask and also getting the information that I would need to have them accommodate our Sweet Doug!, I was told to get a letter from the Vet That would release him to be able to be boarded and unfortunately I couldn’t do it till 8:30pm that night and when Pet Palace was closed so I was worried about not getting to speak with Charlie again the next morning because of how helpful she was, but to my surprise, Carmen picked up the phone and it was like I never skipped a beat with this place! She asked me the information they would need to start the process and we pretty much picked up where I left off the day before. I was able to send them all the information needed via text and it was honestly the easiest thing I could have done! When I was told that Charli and Cameren both worked at the Cannon location, I was so relieved because I know he will be in great caring hands!! Truly I’m not that nervous to Board him anymore all thanks to these two ladies. Thank you both so so so much. Also if they miss your call Pet palace was great at sending you a quick message telling you they’ll be right with you and sure enough they are every time!!!! This all being said we have not officially boarded with Pet Palace yet but first impressions mean a lot and so far they’ve made a great one! Can’t wait to have our baby taken care of this weekend!! One more thing!! The price is amazing just $49 for one night!
Long story short: I don't recommend boarding here, overall disappointed by the lack of transparency/communication and inability to follow instructions. This place was recommended by a friend and so I was willing to make the 1 hour drive to have my dog boarded here for 7 days while I was out of town. Did an initial call and was told that pets would be rotated throughout the day, would be given time to play and that we would receive daily text/picture updates prior to booking; sounded promising at the time. 48 hours after dropping him off, I received no updates despite being told that we would be getting daily updates. I had to send a follow up text at 8:46am asking how he was doing. Called twice around 3:50pm and was sent to voicemail after 2 rings. Did not receive a response until 6:23pm via text that evening. Was told that the phones were having issues sending photos so I gave them the benefit of the doubt (maybe they were short-staffed and fully booked). Nonetheless, started getting concerned knowing that I had to chase down a boarding facility (who was trusted with my pet) to get an update on how they were doing. The next day, I received a call at 7:51am from someone that addressed my concerns; was told there was limited staff over the holidays and that they would let the staff know to send photo or text updates whenever possible (why promise people daily updates if they don't have the staffing to do so? Sounds like they were overbooking). Later at 3:31pm, received multiple photos (no description) and my dog looked kinda miserable to me (as if someone shoved a ball in his mouth and forced him to take a picture). I received more photos 2 days later with no description (just pictures). There were no more pictures for the remainder of his stay. Where's the consistency? On his 6th day of boarding I got a missed call at 9:38am followed by a text at 9:39am claiming that he did not have enough food. This struck me as odd since we had labeled each individual sandwich bag with his name (and ours), along with exact portions in each bag for each day of his stay (plus an extra one). I texted them back about this at 9:54am and called twice at 10:09am, I was sent to voicemail after 2 rings again. I finally received a call back at 10:15am from them asking if we could drop off more food or offer their "house food", with no regard for following up with my concern for where all the initial food that was packed went. With no explanation, it is really hard for an owner not to think that the facility is failing to read feeding directions clearly outlined on the bags (I made it fail-proof by giving them pre-divided portions of food too). I had to struggle to arrange for a friend to drop food off, which was really the last thing anyone should have to do when they are out of town and wanting to have a "worry-free" boarding experience for their pet. I decided to pick him up earlier on his last day given the list of concerns I was having with the facility at this point. At pick up, the lady at the reception was nice but said "I wasn't sure if [my pet] was aggressive and so it would take some time for her to get his stuff". Even if the lady upfront was not looking after my pet directly (as I am sure there were multiple people working over the holidays), I took this as zero communication between team members, making me wonder how much time and effort was really put into looking after the pets in the back. Overall, quite disappointed in my experience with the lack of transparency, communication and failure to follow clear, provided instruction (not the first time based on previous reviews). I understand the holidays can be busy but if pet care is being compromised (up to the point where even food is being given incorrectly), I feel that would make most pet parents concerned for what else could possibly be going wrong back there. Why pay a premium for the holiday stay if the basic service that should be provided is not being met? Unfortunately, this will be my first and last visit here.
Excellent place for daycare or boarding your dog. Our animals are part of your family and this place and everyone that's hard at work there cares a d truly loves interacting with your dog! All of their services and board/daycare rates are very affordable.
