(from Google)Wonderful way to enjoy Folly Beach. It costs $5 to enter the park. Plenty of parking in a large gravel lot & several paved handicap parking spots. Changing stalls, nice restrooms, beautiful elevated deck seating with some covered picnic tables. Ramp for beach access. There is a ranger station in the gift shop, which seemed to be closed for the season. There is also a cantina that appears to be closed for the season. Dogs are allowed on leash all day in the winter. There are specific hours for dogs in peak season. This time of year, the park is quiet and a great way to get away from crowds.
The place has enough parking spaces. I think it was the season, but 25 dollars to enter!! is a bit excessive, to have only 1 bathroom in the center away from the water. the place is very beautiful to go for a walk, tan or just a chat.
We had the best time here. Just $5 to park. Multiple acces points to the water, tons of parking, and the most amazing deck sitting high above the dunes to watch the sunset and moonrise. Very wheelchair accessible too.
Such a peaceful spot, especially recommended for the most gorgeous sunsets! You can park for $5 right by the beach and just walk up to see the sunset and the explosion of colors on the beach.
Clean wonderful place! There are strong currents and it's harder to swim, but the place and the view are splendid. You will find everything you need: picnic area, shower, changing room, toilets, snack bar everything clean and only good to use. They also have a pelican point view, price 10$ /car /day
