Blue Pine Grill

You know you’re in a great restaurant when you see the owner, busing tables and greeting guests with a big smile. I went to visit my daughter for Mother’s Day and she took me there two times. Once for dinner and for breakfast on Mother’s Day. The steak and ham and cheese omelette were fabulous! I highly recommend this restaurant. The service was perfect and I want to take some of their happy pills! They were all so sweet!

Edited my rating after a 2nd visit. Excellent French Dip and salmon chowder. Once again EXCELLENT customer service. Will definitely be coming back! :) We visited the new Downtown Gresham location Friday night. There were ups & downs. I wasn't happy with my halibut - the portions were small and it was just previously frozen halibut pieces from a box, very disappointing. However, my son was very happy with his steak. It was perfectly cooked and tender. They were out of the baked potato that come with it so she offered other sides, then she charged him an upgrade charge for it. I didn't think that was right since they were out of baked potatoes. My husband got the boneless chicken wings, he was happy with those. The clam chowder was very good. The cocktail was good. The service was good. The atmosphere was nice. I guess the only complaints would be the halibut, which was the main reason we went there because I saw it on the menu, and the upcharge for the chowder. Please, if you are going to offer something as nice as halibut, get it fresh and bread it yourself and give me bigger pieces. I'm willing to pay more. But to pay that much for frozen gross stuff isn't ok. The majority of my plate was coleslaw. Coleslaw is a side, not the main course. One more thing, there should be a vegetable served with the steak dinner. That would round out the meal.

Really glad we stopped here for a late night dinner. The building has a really nice set up inside and the service was great, and the food was also really great. I'm always worried about ordering steak at restaurants, cuz a lot of times it can not be cooked right, but they cooked it PERFECTLY here, it was tender, juicy, and flavorful. One of the best steaks I had at a restaurant. The clam chowder was pretty good as well. Very creamy. Also tried some of the spicy boneless chicken wings. I dont normally like spicy stuff, but that was good. Definitely plan on coming back.

Blue Pine is the best! We visit almost every Friday and absolutely love it. The staff is absolutely amazing. They treat our daughter so sweet and go out of their way to make sure she is happy even when they don't have to. The food is SO good too. The service, food, atmosphere is always a 10/10! I got the corned beef hash to go. The food overall was good. It comes with horseradish sauce on top which I didn’t care for. Would recommend getting that on the side so you can decide if you want it or not. (It doesn’t come with the pepper on it I added that) Service is always friendly.
