(from Google)We love Hey Bear Cafe! It is consistent and delicious every time. The food truck options are amazing and the indoor and outdoor play area for kids make them feel welcome in the space as well! Nothing better when it’s hot than a Hey Bear boba!
I did not drink tea, I come back here instead for Gus's Greek food truck. Outstanding gyros and lamb burger. Gus is a great, hardworking, and friendly guy. You won't find a better gyro in the whole region. Seriously. I've tried them several times. Real lamb in the gyro, not processed and blended strips like you find elsewhere. Strong tzatziki, too! Don't try if you're afraid of garlic! Most any day you will find him there.
I attended a child's party in the Pavillion area. The staff were very nice but not always knowledgeable about the things they are selling. I honestly loved the vibe! The taro boba tea I had was good. I'd definitely return for the outdoor conversation. There was one food truck present but I did not purchase food. Would I recommend this place? Yes! There's a lot of space for conversation, private or not, there's space for kids to play on a playground or sandbox so parents can chat, the bathrooms were clean, and there are plenty of teas and snacks to choose from if the food trucks don't grab attention. I enjoyed my time at the café and felt almost like I wanted to buy a t-shirt! 😁
Really nice location with a good atmosphere. The cafe has a sizeable park behind it that almost always has food trucks, craft vendors, live music, and other events present. Hey Bear offers a good variety of teas, boba, and other drinks. Plus, they have really fun branding! I do wish they offered more hot food options. They do offer small things like dry ramen or cold onigiri that you can microwave yourself, but I would really love if they began offering made-to-order hot snacks as well. My favorite drink I've had is the orangeade, although I think it's seasonal. SO good.
Hey Bear is a surprising little gem in West Knoxville! They mainly serve boba tea, but also have various snacks and some alcoholic beverages available too. Inside is a welcoming atmosphere with plenty of space and spots to bring your work/homework and a little play area for kids! Outside, there are many seating options, food trucks, pavilions, and a playground! I went this past weekend for a Kpop Meetup event and was surprised with everything this cafe had to offer and I can't wait to go back!
