(from Google)We were out for a day scalloping on the first day of season, and saw a lightning storm approaching from the south and we're looking for a place to take shelter and grab a quick bite nearby. With a multitude of open dock space, in a protected harbor, this was the perfect refuge on a hot day with rain and lightning on the way. A relaxing open air bar right off the docks that was comfortable and casual. We opted to head upstairs into the air conditioned dining room that overlooked the boat basin. We had a nice window seat to observe the wildlife and outdoor activities. A wide and varied menu full of options to select from, I took advantage of the Friday discount fish and chips and we also had a French dip, a cold beer and more. Everything was delicious and our service was spot on. Drinks came out quickly, the food not far behind. Table visits were frequent with a smile. Beverages were refilled without asking. The next time we are in the area, it would definitely be on the go-to list.
We (party of four) were there to celebrate my son's 41st Birthday. We had the best service from "Jake" ( not from State farm). We appreciated his knowledge of the menu. We enjoyed his recommendations. The food was beautiful and delicious We also enjoyed the Sunset views. Thank you so much We will definitely come back again and recommend it to our family visiting in the area.
Great Friday choice! Food, fresh air, fantastic view. Happy hour at Sunset Cove was the perfect choice for a wind down week. Happy hour for wine, beer with some food specials added to a great choice. Friday cod special was very good. Our waiter Zack was an added plus. He had a full dock of hungary and thirsty patrons to keep up with. He did and went beyond to make sure he explained meal options and helped with choices with children what options would work. Lovely views of the marina and boat traffic. Prices were good and quality of food made this a go to on a regular basis to relax, enjoy scenery and good food and prices to match.
Jake was absolutely fantastic behind the bar. He was friendly, attentive, and made everyone feel welcome from the moment we arrived. His drink recommendations were spot-on, and every cocktail was made perfectly. Even when the bar got busy, Jake stayed calm, efficient, and kept a great attitude. His energy made the whole experience even better. If you get the chance to be served by Jake, you’re in good hands — highly recommend!
This great little gem holding stong on the Big Bayou Point canal just off US 19 was super nice. The wife and I were greeted and promptly seated overlooking the docks, catching the sun as it set over Gulf Harbours. Surprisingly there where but only 2 other tables during our hole dinning experience. Boasting a full liquor bar. We both began with cocktails and are appetizer of cheese curd and broccoli balls. The cheese was hot and gooey with bits of broccoli popping throughout. Although the oil was a bit on the old side it did not ruin the dish, I strongly recommend in the future that you check before ordering yourself. For the Frist time both the Mrs and I ordered the entrée for our main course. Fried bohemian redfish. The server gave quite the display of deboning the fish for my wife. As for me, I am to low class and picked mine clean myself. The asparagus and Mushroom Panini paired very well with a fish. We both over ate that night. Our server over hearing me wish my wife a happy birthday, surprised her with a dessert before leaving for the evening. At the time of this visit, the docks outside the restaurant are under a bit of construction along with the parking lot nearby. However, there was plenty of parking for all to be had.Don't miss out on the opportunity for this nice evening or launch dining restaurant.
