(from Google)It was by far the best meal I have ever eaten. Just moved into Plant City, and my wife and I went on our anniversary date and it was so good that we had to get a banana cake to go. Their sweet tea, and lemon on the side was by far the best thing to pair with our meals. And we were greeted right at the door by Madison and she was very helpful and was even very informative about our meals while we waited for our server.
This quaint location convenient off highway offers solid BBQ offerings around greater central Florida. Their wings require no sauce, crispy and retained moisture of meat. Their brisket held its own amongst competitors regionally. Their fried fare was not greasy and cooked perfect. Their staff met with smiles and timely service. What more is needed? If you like BBQ, at this to your must stop locations traveling Tampa to Orlando. No hesitation.
I stopped in looking for a good seafood dinner and ended up ordering the blackened catfish. The food did not disappoint. The portions were generous, everything was well prepared, and I was glad I had ordered the larger portion because it left me with leftovers to take home. The restaurant has a classic old-school BBQ joint feel with wood-paneled walls covered in memorabilia, photos, and signs collected over the years. If you like rustic local places with character, you’ll probably appreciate the atmosphere. Service was mixed. My server was friendly and had a great personality, but overall the service felt less attentive than I expected. It seemed like servers focused only on their assigned tables rather than helping each other when things got busy. My biggest concern was cleanliness. I don’t mind an older building or a rustic appearance, but there is a difference between rustic and neglected. The fan beside my booth had enough accumulated dust that it had formed visible dust bunnies which were blowing in the airflow. The ceiling vents and other areas showed similar buildup, and there were food particles under my table. A thorough cleaning and regular maintenance would go a long way toward improving the dining experience. Overall, I would return for the food, especially the blackened catfish, but I hope management gives the same attention to cleanliness that they give to the kitchen.
We stopped here while traveling and got the BBQ Meat Monster burger and a Philly burger to go. Both were really good. The sweet BBQ sauce is honestly amazing and makes it stand out. We actually started scarfing it down before I remembered to take photos it was so good. Would definitely recommend if you’re passing through. You can also order online ahead of time which makes it super easy for road trips.
This is what I call a local dive restaurant with up scale food. Tucked away off of park road - across from Sting Ray Chevrolet. You can tell that this is a restaurant that the locals go too. Wide variety of food choices. I can’t wait to try other dishes. I had the pulled pork platter with two sides. Really good bake beans and great okra. Another dish we had was chicken and also chicken fettuccini-also great tasting. We had onion rings with their signature Boom Boom sauce. Parking size-able. Dirt parking adds to the ambiance. 😊👍✔️💯
