(from Google)Complementary valet was a nice surprise. We really enjoyed lunch on the patio over looking the golf course. Food and drinks were good. Great service.
The Grill at Torrey Pines is a classic California/American restaurant overlooking the famous golf course. It is characterized by attentive service, fresh ingredients, and a quality selection of cocktails and wines. THE DRINKS 🍹 House Smoked Spicy Mangorita: A table favorite! It hit every note - slightly sweet, smoky, sour, and spicy. 🍸 Espresso Martini: The Salted Caramel Espresso Martini was also a hit, featuring a rich caramel sauce coating the glass. 🍷 Wine: They offer a broad and high-quality wine selection. THE FOOD 🥩 Cardiff Crack Plate: This wood-grilled dish featured slices of excellent marinated tri-tip, served with salad greens and salsa fresca. 🥑 Avocado Toast: An impressive display of vibrant colors with tomatoes, cucumbers, smashed avocado, and smoked salmon slices on artisan bread. 🥗 Southwest Kale Salad: Refreshing and textural, with corn, black beans, cilantro, and corn nuts for crunch. SERVICE ⭐ Special thanks to Carlos, our waiter, who provided great food and drink recommendations. He was personable and attentive throughout the meal. OVERALL A pleasant place for a casual family or business outing. The prices are on the higher side (reflecting the quality and the golf course views), but the service and atmosphere make it a solid choice.
I had the avocado toast with salmon and a double espresso… Of course it was phenomenal as expected. Such a beautiful place. Outstanding service, food and ambiance. Highly recommended.
The Grill is hands down the best burger in the city. No doubt about it, at least so far. Order it medium rare or medium and you will not regret it. The place is beautiful, especially if you want to enjoy sunsets or take a short walk with the golf courses in the background. Even though it has an elegant and relaxed atmosphere, the prices are very reasonable. The coffee is excellent and the croissant is also very good. I am definitely going back. I have already visited several times for the burger, but I also want to try their breakfast soon.
Located right next to the golf course, it’s a great spot to snap some beautiful photos. We ordered the tomato soup, which came with perfectly pan-seared bread stuffed with cheese — a delicious touch. The Caesar salad was also excellent. I especially enjoyed their draft beer, which had a wonderfully strong fruity aroma.
