Uptown Eats

Food is seasoned very well. I usually assume that I'll need salt/pepper for my eggs but not here. I'll say it again...they season their food :). Had the grits topped with collards and the scone with gravy. 10/10, no notes. Cant wait to return.

Quite possibly the best BLT I have ever eaten. The other people in my group had breakfast items and loved their homemade biscuits, sausage, and eggs. The one downside is that Uptown has one waffle iron and while one waffle came out decently warm, the other came out cold. Cold waffles are No Bueno. But, the other quality foods really made up for it AND the fact that everyone washed their hands constantly. Love going to restaurants and seeing staff really take care in being hygienic. The guy who cleared our table even washed his hands before giving me a take out container for my leftovers and he only touched OUR used plates from our table beforehand! Outstanding service and attention to detail. Everyone was so pleasant and were quick to help eachother out. Never saw such a smooth work process. We have definitely found our new go to place in St.Pete. Sadly, we did not take photos for this review but we will be back and will add photos. We were too hungry to take them.

This place is phenomenal. I don’t give praise unless I MEAN IT! Even though it’s busy they take their time to explain you the menu and suggest things. They don’t rush you. And the food - wow the flavors - everything feels and tastes homemade. Every bite is decadent . If I lived here I’d be here every Saturday. Thank you! It’s so hard to find places like these in today’s food culture.

Awesome. Worth the line. Coming from Miami, I could only wish we had a place like this back home! Lively, attentive, with a ton of delicious options and yet, somehow, relaxed enough to have a conversation without having to yell to the person across the table from you. 5 stars.

Very casual space for healthy eats. Things like salads were fresh. They have a good amount of pastries and their portions were very generous. We sat in the booth by the window and it was really nice atmosphere. The cafe itself is very narrow with limited seating along the walls. However there are quite a few outside tables for you to enjoy. Tipping is expected with a very bold sign on the register so keep that in mind if you’re someone who doesn’t like tipping.
