(from Google)wonderful establishment! I ordered the turkey caprese burger with the truffle Parmesan fries. Everything was delicious, as a chef this menu is well put together in the combination ingredients is Genius. More importantly, that was very friendly from the host to the lovely bartender!
We loved this restaurant. It was one of the few we found with an open kitchen after 9 pm. They treated us excellently and the food was delicious. We ordered the turkey burger, you could tell it was homemade and the chimichurri was homemade too. The vibe of the place is beautiful to come with friends. Nice lighting. The music at the perfect volume that lets you talk. 100% recommended
Refined Roots – 100% worth the drive I finally made my way to Refined Roots after wanting to try it for the longest time, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the tri-colored carrot appetizer and the ahi tuna appetizer and honestly turned them into my full meal — and it was perfect. The carrots were cooked to absolute perfection and came topped with goat cheese, walnuts, cranraisins, and a balsamic drizzle that tied everything together beautifully. If you’re into root vegetables at all, this is a must-order. It’s generous enough that it can easily double as an entrée. The ahi tuna was seared perfectly rare with a really nice crust on the outside and served with a pickled slaw that balanced everything out. Super fresh, super flavorful. The ambiance is adorable — very quaint, small-town feel. They have outdoor seating, but I stayed inside since they had live music (which was such a bonus). Jessica Rose was performing and she was fantastic — it really elevated the whole experience. Service was great as well. My bartender (I believe her name was Annalise) was friendly, patient, and just overall made everything easy and enjoyable. For drinks, I had a Pinot Grigio and a Riesling — both were light, smooth, and slightly citrusy. If you like super sweet wines, these may not be for you, but if you prefer something more balanced with just a touch of softness, they’re great choices. The whole experience felt very welcoming — even the locals were friendly, which I always appreciate. I drove about 25 minutes to get there and would absolutely do it again. Already planning my next visit because I have to try their sourdough cookie skillet and more of the menu. If you’ve been thinking about going — just go. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
We decided to take a road trip to Tarpon Springs for a laid-back Sunday. We were craving an espresso martini with some light appetizers (apps). This place was a great surprise. Friendly staff and some good apps. We had the deviled eggs and Brussels sprouts. The deviled eggs have a bacon jam filling which gave them that salty sweetness. Delish. The Brussels sprouts, also delish, have whipped feta with some pickled red onions and bacon. A hit!!! The main event, the espresso martini, or as they call it here, the Urban Surprise, was frothy, made with ground espresso, not that imitation stuff, and shaken with vanilla and Crop Harvest Earth Green Vodka. Phenomenal!
It’s been a minute since Tampa Bay Food Tours explored downtown Tarpon Springs—and honestly, it’s been too long. This often-overlooked area tends to take a back seat to the touristy Sponge Docks, which is a shame. Downtown offers plenty of great restaurant choices, free parking, and charming local shops. It’s an easy, enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. Now, back to lunch at Refined Roots—both the food and service were excellent. The menu offers a nice, diverse selection, making it a great spot whether you’re in the mood for something light or more indulgent. Definitely worth a visit when you’re in the area! Stop by soon and tell them Tampa Bay Food Tours sent you!
