(from Google)Went to the Winter Magic with family. $30 is pretty steep for what it was. Longview lake's is just as good and take donations
This is a great park to walk your 4 legged companions. In my experiences here, at least during the week days, there is not much pedestrian traffic. The wide open spaces create for great exploring and feels serene and quiet for being right off the city. The 4 stars are really only for how difficult it was to navigate through the Christmas decorations surrounding the entire park recently.
Probably was good back in the day. But it looks like a gravel pit now. The city has a terrible habit of throwing new parks up and basically forgetting about them for the next 30 years. Kind of looks like what they've done here.
Nice quiet park where I can go to get some quick exercise in by walking the path which is 1 mile. I've also seen a lot of wildlife in the area including deer, rabbits, snakes, turtles, and even a coyote. Would be nice if there was a dog park in the area as a lot of people walk and let their dogs run around here.
Platte Purchase Park was a great pat to visit while the family was in town. There are several play sets for kids, a well paved walking trail, a football/soccer field and a number of baseball/softball fields. The floor of the play set closest to the road has a couple of major holes. Still is a great place to burn some time. Enjoy the wildlife also.
