(from Google)Park is clean and well maintained. New post about dog etiquette are on display, thank you Hillsborough County! Lots of birds, gators are growing, lol. We'll worth the time to visit the monuments, museum and walk the Fitness Trail down the canal!
On of the best veterans memorial Parks I've seen. Well layed out. Memorials from all US conflicts. Some of the inscriptions were hard to read through the tears. Thank you for this peaceful place of solitude. And thank you, all veterans for allowing me to stand free. The museum was not open, and no posted hours.
Lovely park that is an amazing tribute to our fallen soldiers and our country. Always well kept, my dog and I love to come here for walks. The nature and wildlife is very peaceful. I wish however the park didn’t close so early! The gate is closed by 4:30pm. It would be nice to walk around in the evening after work, when the weather is cooler.
Such a beautiful tribute to all those lives lost over the years fighting for our freedom. The entire park was beautiful and well kept. Perfect place for a nice little picnic next to the water as well. From start to finish it took us around 45 mins to walk throughout every exhibit. Due to COVID (I assume), the museum was closed. We were able to peek our eyes through the glass to see part of the inside though. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this park for a weekend or weekday visit with the family.
Great park to show respect and to learn history about the people (and animals) that served our Country. There are lots of outside memorials and a small inside museum. Not really a good place for little ones, lots of things that look fun to climb but are off limits. Maybe they should think about making this place a little more family friendly. I know my father who served, would love nothing more than to hear the sound of children laughing and playing, in a country he fought to protect... Don't wait until Memorial day to come enjoy this park.
