I truly can’t express how grateful I am for this groomer. From start to finish, they were incredibly kind, patient, and professional, and they took exceptional care of my senior dog. You can tell they genuinely love what they do and treat every pet like their own. 1000/10 — I can’t recommend them enough. We absolutely love this place!

I brought my 8 month old SDiT for a nail trim & dremel. The staff were friendly, but my experience did not match what was clearly communicated on the phone. When booking, I mentioned I saw a 10:30 AM slot, but I was told 15 min apts are not long enough for a first visit & that after hours would allow them to “go slow and take our time.” That was a main reason I chose this groomer, even though they are farther from me. I was told the cost would be $21–28 depending on how he did, which I repeated back & confirmed. I also explained he is a 90 lb puppy & that I am pregnant, so I can’t do all nails alone at once & 2 person handling is easier. I did not say he was “resistant”. However, the entire appointment was 6:10–6:17 PM including going in, on/off the table, & handing him back. That does not reflect the slower first-time experience discussed. Afterward I was told he did “very good,” & I was charged $38. Nothing was mentioned about difficulty, limits, or that some nails couldn’t be done. Once home in better lighting, I saw that the front right paw was not trimmed or dremeled at all, & several nails appear barely touched if that. I have photos before & after showing this. I regularly maintain his nails at home, so they were not “very long and pointy” as stated later but could be worked on. I could have gone to my vet for $13 for a quick trim, but chose this groomer for what I expected to be a more careful, unrushed experience. I was told I could bring him back to redo them, but I am not comfortable returning after the first visit did not align with what was promised, especially right before the holidays. When I raised concerns afterward, I was spoken over, met with defensiveness, & asked whether I had “recordings” of what I was told. All calls were with the owner too (same person). I requested a partial refund since the service was not fully completed, but this was refused. A consistent schedule suggestion was never mentioned to me either; I only heard that said to another customer. Pictures in the buffalo plaid jacket are BEFORE; the others are AFTER. The shape of the still clearly shows no trimming or dremeling, despite the service including both. The booking system shows 15 min “nail trim & buff” slots, but under 10 min were used for the service. I’m not saying they don’t do good work for other dogs, but this was not my experience, & I cannot recommend this groomer for dogs needing careful handling or a thorough first time trim.

They go above and beyond with my dogs, even handling my most difficult dog without sedation. The dogs came back looking so handsome. The store is like a park avenue salon; beautiful!! Not like any other grooming stores I’ve been to which were dirty and dingy Jay and staff are friendly and personable. I can’t recommend them enough. Their 5 star ratings says it all.

Jay and crew were absolutely amazing! Thank you for taking such good care of our girl like she was your own. She looks great and is so happy with her new spa :)

Best groomer ever! They treat my pup with a level of care and love you wont find anywhere else. Very friendly and passionate at Shagget Pet Grooming. Highly recommend!!!
