(from Google)This is a duplicate entry and it's in wrong location. The real trailhead is 1/4 mile to the northeast.
Gorgeous tropical-looking walking path in a neighborhood. It’s so peaceful, even though it’s surrounded by houses. The only thing that might disturb the tranquility are the occasional bikers and motorcyclists. Despite its isolation, the hustle and bustle of the nearby roads are still audible.
Nice trailhead, fair amount of parking, but no restrooms.
Very cool place! I stumbled across this is riding north one afternoon. The New River Trail is a real kick to ride. My flashlight revealed a huge snake one night closer to the wash...he was s lot closer than I would have liked, he wanted to eat me. Be cautious of snakes in the area. Oh and a "filtered water" drinking fountain. Sweet!
Very nice trail, lots of easy to read mile markers and plenty of benches along the way if you get tired. The people are very friendly and courteous. Refrigerated water fountain with dog fountain and bottle fill ups and a nice covered sitting area at this particular rest area. Perfect place to begin and end a hike or bike ride.
