(from Google)Great trails; clearly marked, nice elevation mix, beautiful views. Highly recommend
It was a moderate trail. There are many trails available to choose from, some are loops and some go up and are steep. We saw many bikers on the trails as well, and a couple of dogs and children as well. The hike starts at the parking lot of the park, and there are bathrooms and benches at the park, and plenty of parking. You hike up and it starts off flat for about 0.7 miles and then gets more steep at the top. Overall a very enjoyable hike. Although, beware of snakes and other wildlife. And stay on the trail.
It is was to do. You are able to see the State Farm Stadium from there!
One of the best trails to hike north of Phoenix. Be sure to bring water or drink a lot before you go. Even if you think you’re hydrated. Be safe and smart. This is an easy/moderate hike. Kid friendly. I’ve taken big groups on these trails at sunset and we have never had a bad time. Haven’t seen any snakes... yet. There are several peaks to summit. A smaller one and then further down the trail to taller summits. You will enjoy this trail!
The trail itself is great but the head is difficult to find. It is between the school and a trail leading to a neighborhood. It has an old monument sign but the plaque is gone.
