FISH and other ICHTHY stuff

Ive been to almost all the local fish and coral stores in Hillsborough and Pinellas county. If you want the healthiest fish at a fair price, FAOIS should be your 1st stop in the Tampa Bay Area. His coral selection and prices are very good as well, but I mostly come here when shopping for a new saltwater fish.

To David O who left a one star review, no surprise that given 61 of your past 72 reviews are one star - not sure why you are so unhappy. Clearly missing the point of this treasure of a fish and coral store. John serves the Saltwater hobbyist. He is very honest and direct and we all need this in the Saltwater hobby. One small mistake can result in a ton of pain and money. John is incredible at keeping us from doing dumb things. John's fish and coral are always healthy and reasonable price. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the tanks. Very knowledgeable staff. I generally go to another fish store, but they didn't have the yellow watchman goby we were looking for. I'm glad I stopped in. They had what I needed and the fish is settling in nicely after just under having it for 24 hours.

I recommend this LFS specially when buying fish. All tanks are super clean, fish are healthy and active. They had a system to quarantine fish that you can buy with confidence. All fish that I bought from them still alive and healthy. Very knowledgeable management. They also have good selection of corals wish also looks great at good prices.

This was my first visit at the store. I was amazed at how well kept the display tanks were , there was a wide variety of healthy fish and coral. The owners were very pleasant , helpful and knowledgeable. I came home with a beautiful Bellus angel. I had been going to another establishment in Tampa for years for my reef tank needs, the quality of fish has gone down dramatically and the knowledge was less than helpful. I am so glad to have found my new LFS !! Thank you !!!!
