(from Google)Nice wooded dirt trail with some boardwalks, single track with views of City Park Lake. One smart note re: this trail is the addition of wire fencing on surface of boardwalks that mitigate slips and falls, as this can be a very wet and muddy trail in lots of areas. Intersects with multiple trails from short spurs/loops such as Firebreak and Rodgers to larger greenway system of Bicentennial Greenway, which is paved. You’ll see some wildlife (water fowl, squirrels, occasional skunk, chipmunks and more). Trail is marked with red/white dots, few, if any mileage markers. Intersecting trails have smaller dots of varying colors (e.g. yellow, green) Parking available at Jamestown Park East Fork Rd in High Point. Facilities, picnic shelter and other basic accommodations. Pets on leash allowed. Quiet and generally uncrowded
Beautiful trail, easy to hike. Easy to access if you park at the Jamestown Park.
Nice greenway amenity for the Guilford county area. Wide paved paths and well maintained. Some root intrusion along the path has caused the asphalt trail to deflect upward, so cyclists should be aware. I walked the Deep River Trail with Daisy and found it very enjoyable with ample benches if needed for respite. I parked at Jamestown Park and walked across Deep River Rd to the trail.
Nice and wide trail. Trail just ended at a road and I did not feel comfortable walking with my pup along the road to pick up a new trail. The flashing pedestrian crosswalk was nice.
3 miles walk of paved road and hike trail track, lots of things to see if you look enough, birds and turtles sun bathing in the floating logs and high stones. Lots of bench to rest and dog friendly trail.
