Incredible view of The River! I went for first time Sunday November second & enjoyed an afternoon Bronx River Pathway. Saw lots of wild geese on the pond & people with canines on the trail towards the bridge. Reminds me a great amount of Central Park bridge across waters edge

Love walking here in the spring and fall. So much greenery and nature. It’s very long but you can choose how far you want to go!

The Bronx River Pathway is about 11.2 miles running from Bronxville to the Kensico Dam Plaza. We were having lunch at Scarsdale when we decided to burn off some calories and took a walk from the Scarsdale trail head to Crestwood Metro-North train station. The start of the Scarsdale trail head is about a 5-minute walk from Scarsdale Metro-North train station. The picturesque trail that runs along the river is all paved and stroller friendly. You have to cross a few roads to continue on the trail, but there are proper pedestrian crossings. It took us less than an hour to get to Crestwood Metro-North Station. If you do not want to backtrack to Scarsdale, Crestwood Station is only one train stop from Scarsdale. The only rest room along this part of the Bronx River Pathway is at the Westchester County Tourism Info Center, but unfortunately, it is closed for the season. We started from Bronxville today (Nov 18) and walked along the Bronx River Pathway to Scarsdale. The distance was about 4.6 miles, and the path was level. We found the scenery just as nice as the walk from Scarsdale to Crestwood. However, be aware that a small part of the route takes you alongside the highway, but there is a wide enough path delineated for both bicycle and pedestrian use.

A relaxing place for my nature walks. There is a lot to explore on this lengthy trail and I've enjoyed different sections from the Bronx to Crestwood. Great if you are looking for a slice of nature amidst our hustle culture. A few waterfalls, quaint bridges and little hills line this unique and easy to walk or ride path. Bring your bike or a comfy pair of walking shoes...no skates allowed.

Wonderful, scenic, and mostly flat bike path along the Bronx River Parkway in Westchester. Surprisingly beautiful and tranquil with several rustic bridges crossing the River back and forth. There’s even a small waterfall! Bring your lunch or a snack to enjoy on the abundant park benches.
